The change which takes place in the process brings to the subject the understanding that the supposed knowledge of the analyst is turned into “knowing how to read Otherwise.” The fall of the subject-supposed-to-know reveals that behind the assumption of knowledge, the pious image the patient attributed to the analyst, there is a mere nothing; there is the rock of The Thing. It is this failure of the language which brings the subject to try to invent a relationship with the unconscious which urges him to question its formations, and which urges him to adduce a transference at work and a theoretical didactics having some others as witnesses. The psychoanalyst, whose existence depends on the analytical institution, has no other choice than to stay in the didactic of The Thing. Also in his practice and in group work, by the transference at work, the attempt to encircle The Thing is the point of living fire he has to revive constantly, to confront the questions of the enigma introduced by the unconscious into the culture. La posicion etica del psicoanalisis dista del paradigma filosofico debido a la revolucion etica inspirada por Freud y desarrollada por Lacan. El psicoanalisis anuncia un modelo de responsabilidad esencial e inedito que revoluciona todo paradigma etico. La responsabilidad para el psicoanalisis se inscribe en el registro de un "bien decir", que supone el respeto a la singularidad del sujeto y al deseo que lo habita, asi como el derecho al enigma que introduce el inconsciente en la cultura.

Cette expérience est voisine d'une situation dissociative, qui met à l'épreuve la structuration subjective des patients. À partir de cas cliniques, nous montrons par cette recherche que cette technique médicale peut produire une nette amélioration chez un patient déprimé. Mais notre recherche nous a conduit également à découvrir qu'il y a un écart entre une voix métallique après l'implantation et la voix que le patient s'attendait à retrouver, cet écart peut activer les phénomènes de la dépression marquée par le deuil. En plus de ces deux facteurs, nous en avons isolé un troisième, celui de la perte du statut de malentendant, qui peut contribuer à la construction d'un ego. Cette étude aboutit à reconnaître la variabilité singulière des effets de l'implant sur des sujets névrotiques et qu'une structuration psychotique, déjà connue et surtout prévisible sans être reconnue, devra exiger une attention toute particulière, car le risque d'un déclenchement ou d'une aggravation de la psychose y est majeur.

This is due to the transposition of terms produced in the subject's relation with the objects of the commerce of the drives, and to the fact that the structuring function of desire is distorted due to the flight of the subject from the field of the Other and the concomitant question of desire. In the addict's vicious circuit of the drives, the relation with the object is not determined by the dialectics of a metonymical object. On the contrary, this function would have a point of retraction conferring to a privileged object the possibility of closing the circuit of demands in which the question of desire is subsumed. Thus, the dialectics of desire is reduced to the simple commerce with an object of need.

The cochlear implant produces a “chaos of sound” where sounds and meanings are dissociated. This ... more The cochlear implant produces a “chaos of sound” where sounds and meanings are dissociated. This experience is similar to a dissociative state which jeopardize the solidity of the personality structure. Based upon a various clinical cases, our research shows that the medical technique of cochlear implant can produce a real amelioration in the case of a depressed patient. Meanwhile, the other result of our research is that there is a gap between the metallic recovered voice of postimplant and the expected one. This gape may activate mental breakdown phenomenon related to mourning. We had been able to produce another data related to the loss of impaired hearing status. Since a disability can contribute to build one's ego, the loss of this disability contribute to the loss of this “surrogate” ego.
