Using a latent variables approach, we extract common aspects in 29 corporatism indicators which have been suggested in the literature and find two factors that can be identified as the degree of coordination between employers and trade unions, and the organizational power of labour. Using these factors in the model of Hall and Franzese (1998) employing data for 16 OECD countries, we find that the organizational power of trade unions does not affect inflation. Likewise, the interaction between central bank independence and coordination does not affect unemployment. JEL Classification: J51.

Our system exploits domain knowledge in the field of jus-tice to streamline and to relate the content of different databases in the chain. In our system, domain knowledge is encoded in a space

Instead of approximate inference based on feasible generalized least squares, exact con dence sets are formulated based on partial rotational invariance of the distribution of the vector of disturbances. The approach is applied to the random-effects and xed-effects models for panel data.

Using a latent variables approach, we extract common aspects in 29 corporatism indicators which have been suggested in the literature and find two factors that can be identified as the degree of coordination between employers and trade unions, and the organizational power of labour. For illustrative purposes, these factors are used in an empirical model employing data for 16 OECD countries. We find that the organizational power of trade unions does not affect inflation. Likewise, the interaction between central bank independence and coordination does not affect unemployment.

In this paper, we present a tool that collects and processes safety related data from relevant sources. This data is presented in a uniform and accessible way to users. Besides data that is directly related to public safety, the tool also contains data, such as demographic data, that may help the user understand the development of public safety aspects in the course of time.

This paper is devoted to the complaints of citizens that pertain to the applications of information technology itself, or about facts in which this technology is playing a significant role. We have analyzed a number of

Therefore, to deliver database support for effective decision making, an integrated view of uncertainty and ignorance should be taken. So far, most of the efforts attempted to capture uncertainty and ignorance with probability theory. In this paper, we discuss the weakness to capture ignorance with probability theory, and propose an approach inspired by the Dempster-Shafer theory to capture uncertainty and ignorance. Then, we present a rule to combine dependent data that are represented in different relations. Such a rule is required to perform joins in a consistent way. We illustrate that our rule is able to solve the so-called problem of information loss, which was considered as an open problem so far.
