The efficiency of using the methods in the formation of approximate images of objects at low signal-to-noise ratios is shown. The results of numerical experiments demonstrate the possibility of obtaining images with a resolution exceeding the Rayleigh criterion by 3-10 times. The robustness of the solutions obtained by the methods of algebraic exceeds many well-known approaches. The relative simplicity of the presented methods allows the use of inexpensive computing devices and perform real-time measurement processing.

The use of this setting for the optimal control law calculation is illustrated on the ball/racket system representative of a large class of controlled impact problems, where there are two separate bodies interacting through controlled viscoelastic force.

As an example of guidance problem, a model of defense scenario against reentering ballistic missile is considered. In this scenario, a maneuverable decelerating target is to be destroyed by a hit-to-kill interceptor outfitted with an infrared (IR) array seeker and lateral impulse thrusters. The key element of the proposed approach is a description of the "interceptor-target" system state by means of IS. The results of Monte Carlo (MC) tests of the developed algorithm are presented.

Optimal impulsive control of dynamical system in an impact phase
Lecture Notes in Applied and Computational Mechanics

Both approaches give the same restitution law if external control is absent. However, the situation changes dramatically if one can apply an impulsive control during the phase of contact. Indeed, a real interaction force acts when a contact takes place only. The difference in these two models is as follows. In the case of visco-elastic media the mathematical approach implies an existence of interaction force acting during a whole period of an existence of body-obstacle deformation, which leads to appearance of a drawing force pulling the body into obstacle. In reality (in the physical model) the interaction force vanishes when a contact is lost, even if the deformation still presents. In this paper a control problem based on the physical model (which is more realistic) is considered.

The general physically-based description of mechanical systems with controlled singularities and sensing in the singular phase that also admits control over observations is developed. An example is presented that demonstrates the computation of a singular phase sensor-based optimal control law. It is found that optimal control of this class of systems should, in general, be sought in the class of complex signals termed temporal multi-impacts-very short duration isolated sets of temporally sequenced impulses. The system subject to these impacts is shown to exhibit a novel mode of controlled dynamic behavior-the interlaced singular phase.

The new signal processing technique is based on carrying parametrization problems with the help of data mining. It allows us to obtain the images of signal sources with angular superresolution. The high speed of the method, in contrast to many well-known methods, allows us to use it in realtime. The results of numerical experiments on mathematical models are presented.

Interception begins when the probability of the target being detected by the search vehicle exceeds a certain threshold value. Interception was carried out by a controlled vehicle (defender) protecting the target. An analytical estimation of this detection probability is proposed. The interception problem was formulated as an optimal stochastic control problem, which was transformed to a deterministic optimization problem. As a result, the optimal control law of the defender was found, and the optimal interception time was estimated. The deterministic problem is a simplified version of the problem whose optimal solution provides a suboptimal solution to the stochastic problem. The obtained control law was compared with classic guidance methods. All the results...

The camera is set on a mobile carrier, and image registration is conducted by a matrix photoreceiver on basis of charge-coupled devices (CCD) in delay-integration mode. It was shown that together with the traditional electron compensation of longitudinal motion of image, the compensation of transversal velocity of image motion is possible.
