The treatment of patients with rheumatic can be medicated by with pharmacological and non-pharmacological methods. One of the non-pharmacological measures is by warm water bathing. This uses a liquid or immersing the whole body in warm water. The purpose of this study is to find the influence of warm water bathing toward lowering rheumatic pain in elderly at Pringapus Village. This was a quasi-experimental study with non-equivalent control group design. The population in this study was all elderly patients with rheumatic at Pringapus Village Semarang Regency as many as 40 people that counted in period of 2012-2013. The samples were 30 respondents that divided into control group and intervention groups. Data sampling used total sampling technique and data instrument used observation sheets of pain scale. Data analyses for univariate analysis used numerical variables and bivariate analysis used the dependent t-test and independent t-test. The results of this study indicate that there is an influence of warm water bathing toward the level of rheumatic pain in elderly at Pringapus Village Pringapus Sub-district Semarang Regency (p-value of 0.000). It is indicates that the p-value of 0.000 < α (0.05), which the description of the levels of pain in the intervention group between before and after administering the warm water bathing, the average in pain levels have decreased from 6.47 to 2.00. It is recommended for society that warm water bathing is useful as a non-pharmacological treatment for pain management in reducing rheumatic pain independently.
