The mentioned problem is solved by applying a hybrid multi-criteria decision-making model (MCDM) based on two methods: the DIBR (Defining Interrelationships Between Ranked criteria) and the MABAC (Multi-Attributive Border Approximation area Comparison) methods. The methods are modified by applying rough numbers, which present a very suitable area for considering uncertainty following decision-making processes. The DIBR method is a young method with a simple mathematical apparatus which is based on defining the relation between ranked criteria, that is, adjacent criteria, reducing the number of comparisons. This method defines weight coefficients of criteria, based on the opinion of experts. The MABAC method is used to select the best alternative from the set of the offered ones, based on the distance of the criteria function of every observed alternative from the border approximate area. The paper has ...

After the application of the proposed model, the sensitivity analysis of the output results was performed and it was concluded that the model is stable, i.e. that the model gives consistent results and that its application is possible in real situations. Methods: The DIBR method was used to determine the weight coefficients of the criteria, while the ranking of alternatives was performed by the FuzzyMARCOS method. Results: The application of this model has led to the selection of the location for placing a bridge from the TMM-3 set, based on the defined criteria. After applying the proposed model, the sensitivity analysis of the output results was performed and the consistency of the output results of the method was proven. Conclusion: Finally, it was concluded that the proposed model ...

The complexity of the problem, conditioned by different construction elements of weapons and specific situations of their use, is the reason for using methods of multi-criteria decision-making. In the paper we used the hybrid LBWA – IR-MAIRCA model. With this model, one can conduct an analysis of characteristics of the existing weapons, based on which we define the construction elements for modifying the existing and manufacturing new weapons. Regarding a large number of different types of weapons, the paper is limited to the analysis of close-quarters combat weapons. The LBWA method was used to calculate weight coefficients of the criteria. The MAIRCA method, which was modified by interval rough numbers, was used to select the best close-quarters combat weapon that has the best characteristics in accordance with the requests of the users. Construction characteristics of a loader make the basis for selection, but also other elements of importance. The data for Neuro-Fuzzy System modeling are prepared using the Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) methods: Logarithm Methodology of Additive Weights (LMAW), VIKOR, TOPSIS, MOORA and SAW. The paper also presents the method of aggregation of weights of rules premises (AWRP), which defines the key rules of Neuro-Fuzzy System. Finally, the training of the model is tested. The data for the selection of input variables and for model training are obtained by engaging experts.

Considering that this is a very complex model, which can be approached from several aspects, this paper is limited only to the criteria related to the construction or arrangement of the command post, respectively, the engineering aspect. The selection process is conducted using hybrid FUCOM–Z-number–MABAC model. The FUCOM method is used to define the weight coefficients of criteria based on which the selection is made. The MABAC method, modified by applying Z-number, is used to rank alternatives. The end results indicate that the application of Z-number in decision making includes broader set of uncertainties than standard fuzzy numbers, which is very important for deciding in combat situations.

By applying D numbers, the input parameters for the calculation of the weight coefficients of the criteria were provided. The calculation of the weight coefficients of the criteria was performed using the FUCOM method. The best alternative was selected using the fuzzified method, which was conditioned by the specificity of the issue so that in this case, the selection of the best alternative was made using the fuzzified RAFSI method.

In that regard, it has been developed a model for selecting the most favorable location. The first part of the model is based on the full consistency method (FUCOM), and it is used for the evaluation of weight coefficients of criteria. The second part of the model presents the fuzzification of the Multi-Attributive Border Approximation Area Comparison (MABAC) method, which is used in the evaluation of alternatives. The FAHP method is used for defining the weight coefficients of the criteria, while the FMABAC method is performed for the ranking of the alternatives. The fuzzification of the AHP method is carried out by defining a variable confidence interval for the values from the Saaty's scale, which is derived from the comparison in pairs and the degree of certainty of the decisionmakers in the comparison they make. The application of the hybrid model is shown on the example of the ranking of the locations for deep wading as a technique of crossing the river by the Serbian Army tank units. Through the paper are elaborated the criteria which condition such choice; also, the application of the method in a particular situation is demonstrated.
