Human resources represent a great potential, because they have knowledge, inventiveness and intelligence. However, a large part of human potential is not used to a sufficient degree, which leads to unused resources and to dissatisfaction and lack of motivation on the part of employees. Good motivation is part of leadership; a manager knows how to motivate and create good relationships. Business entities are part of society, and to achieve economic goals, they must take into account the impact that they have on society and on the human resources of an organization. This paper explains contemporary motivational theories, with the aim of enabling successful business in banking sector. Managers of banks can make decisions about the most significant factors that improve employee motivation. Integrated knowledge, accumulated experience, and employee satisfaction are the main factors behind successful operations...

Green bonds are a relatively new form of financing and thanks to increased investors’ climate awareness, the market has seen an enormous growth in the last few years. Therefore, the guidelines and standards adopted in financial markets clearly indicate what should be considered a green investment and are a key to further development of the market and achieving the goals of green financing. The goal of the theoretical approach to green bond market in the paper is to identify the key barriers that prevent many countries from taking advantage of this new but growing source of financing renewable energy. The lack of appropriate institutional arrangements for managing green bonds, issuing a minimum volume and high transaction costs are the key obstacles to the development of green bond market. The overall conclusion of the paper is that with just the right measures, many countries could make full use of gre...

The research focus is on the one hand directed towards the analysis of the economic growth rate, the share of domestic savings and the current account balance. On the other hand, particular attention in the analysis is given to the data on the dynamics of foreign direct investment. The analysis in the paper indicates that due to the lack of domestic savings and difficulties with foreign borrowing, in the observed period, foreign direct investment was the most represented source of financing for economic development. The analysis for the SEE countries also shows that the lack of domestic savings caused the unfavorable structure of foreign direct investment flows with the end result of a low economic growth rate. When it comes to the relevance of ...

We have considered antioxidative components-glutathione peroxidase (GSHPx) activity and reduced glutathione (GSH) concentration in two brain integrative centers, i.e the brain stem (BS) and thalamus. Sepsis was induced in adult male Wistar rats (200-250 g) by cecal ligation and perforation (CLP) with inoculation of Escherichia coli suspension (ATCC 25922) (n=40). The control group was sham operated (n=40). For each time point (0, 12, 24 and 72 hours) after treatment, ten animals within each group were decapitated. In BS, GSHPx activity increased at 12 and 24 hours after CLP, while in the thalamus, GSHPx activity increased at 72 hours, compared to controls. In BS, GSH concentration decreased at the 12 th and 24 th hour, and in the thalamus it decreased at the 72 nd hour. Changed oxidative status in BS, recorded as soon as the 12 th hour, reflects a prompt reaction of the central nervous system. This could be of great consequence for disturbed vasomotor response during sepsis.

Climate change and its bad influence directly relate to the environment and indirectly to economic, i.e. tourist activities which are linked to natural potentials. For years, human or industrial activities have been emitting greenhouse gases into atmosphere, which have harmed the climate to a large extent. In order to prevent further pollution, permits for emitting greenhouse gases were introduced at various conferences on a global level. These permits are traded on the stock exchange so this paper gives an overview and description of CO2 emission trading. Such an indirect environmental protection provides the possibility of reducing harmful gasses emission into atmosphere, and thus less harming climate factors. The paper puts emphasis on the Kyoto Protocol, CO2 emissions market, situation and tendencies on the market and their influence on tourism.

The emphasis will be placed on green bonds, modern securities, as well as the impact they have on international projects for using renewable energy sources. At the Earth Summit of the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development (UNCED), a plan of action Agenda 21 was adopted. Some time after the adoption of the plan of action, some favorable changes occurred in the models of financing sustainable development and the amounts of international financial transfers were defined in less developed countries of 125 billion dollars a year. Due to international activities, projects of transferring international financial resources were created with the aim of directing them from the developed to underdeveloped countries to help development of green economy. Since Serbia is one of the less developed countries and in the process of transition for a very long time, a specific recommendation for its own green finance projects can be found, based on the practice from modern countries. As an example of an advanced country that is largely on the path of sustainable development and use of renewable energy sources, the authors have taken into consideration Singapore and compared it with Serbia. The paper gives a certain contribution in terms of analyzing the development of green economy in one of the countries of the ASEAN Association (Singapore) and in Serbia, which is only paving its way of sustainable development, the use of renewable energy sources and forms of green finance.
