It is a clear fact that both are basic ingredients for development and social growth for every nation. The comparative assessment of information needs and seeking behavior of regular and distance university students in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is the basic theme of this study. Cross-sectional survey method was used for data collection. A self-designed questionnaire was distributed among four hundred respondents; three hundred and forty eight were received. To facilitate academic success, it is suggested that broad range of library services i.e. reference and referral services, critical thinking skills, formal and informal group instructions, identification of needed information skills, and effective and ethical use of intellectual and physical resources, should be provided to the students.

The members of the three major LIS professional organizations known as PLA (Pakistan Library Association), PLWO-KP (Pakistan Library Welfare Organization- Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Branch), and PUCLA (Peshawar University Campus Librarians Association) were the targeted population for this study. The questionnaire was designed using a Google Survey form to collect data for the pilot and final study. Lack of understanding about research activities, non-availability of research journals, and non-applicability of research output in libraries by LIS professionals are the major findings of the study. Systematic research and evidence-based training, launching research journals, and consulting donor agencies for fundraising are key components that could be utilized to enhance Pakistan's research activities.

During the war years, Westcott was the official government documentarian of the construction and operation of Oak Ridge as well as photojournalist for the local newspaper. His photographs, which are a cultural and historical record of that unique time and place, have been published in numerous books on the history of the Manhattan Project. This study is based on historical documentation as well as a lecture by and interviews with Westcott.

It has been considered the most fundamental activity of the human mind."-Cataloguing and Classification: An Introduction by Lois Mai Chan (1994) In addition to classical and popular literature (fiction), libraries contain non-fiction. Nonfiction by definition presents factual narratives about the world but how valid and reliable is the information presented? ..... That depends on the source. Research indicates that the greatest weakness related to information literacy is the inability of most people to judge information quality. By understanding the types of information sources and how they are related in the information cycle, one can become a more educated consumer of information.

Financial literacy was defined by a 2000 Fannie Mae Foundation report as "the ability to read, analyze, manage, and communicate about the personal financial conditions that affect material well-being. Financial literacy includes the ability to discern financial choices, discuss money and financial issues without (or despite) discomfort, plan for the future, and respond competently to life events that affect everyday financial decisions, including events in the general economy." 1 Financial Literacy Research and Statistics Every two years since 1997, Jump$tart Coalition of Washington, D.C. has been administering a national financial literacy survey to high school seniors. 2 Overall, the surveys have indicated a low level of financial literacy: on average, the students correctly answered only half of the questions on a basic personal finance and economics test. 3
