Symbols have more deeper meaning and the attached intangible beliefs than their mere outer creativity. Each and every colour and objects symbolizes good fortune, health, happiness, protection. The prayer flags are very sacred, because they contain texts from the holy sutras termed as 'mantras' and symbols that should be respected. Hence the painted or printed objects and colours are of great values to humanity.

It is seen that Lord Shiva was unknown during those days. The Rig Vedic texts reveal that there are many shuktas or verses in devotion to Lord Rudra. The society of those days was in awe of the deity and gave great importance to Rudra Deva. The study of the shuktas or verses brings to light that Rudra Deva has been highly praised and prayed for protection and prosperity. Rudra Deva has been praised for his herbal knowledge. They also prayed to the deity with the view that his anger may not befall them. This paper also describes the forms of Rudra Shiva in Hinduism. This research is based on content analysis of the Rig Veda and other religious texts. Very few priests were interviewed to acquire their views related to Lord Rudra Deva. This deity was feared by all, hence people of those days socio-culturally adapted themselves to the deity and its associ...

It is important to assess the physiological and biochemical response to an absorbed dose of ionising radiation due to intentional or accidental event and to predict medical consequences for medical management. In the present study, nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy-based metabolic profiling was used in mice serum for identification of radiation-induced changes at metabolite level. Mice were irradiated with 3, 5 and 8 Gray of γ-radiation dose and serum samples collected at day 1, 3 and 5 post irradiation were analysed by proton nuclear magnetic resonance (¹H NMR) spectroscopy. ¹H NMR spectra of serum were analysed by pattern recognition using principal component analysis. Irradiated mice serum showed distinct metabonomic phenotypes and revealed dose- and time-dependent clustering of irradiated groups. ¹H NMR spectral analysis exhibited increased lactate, amino acids, choline and lipid signals as well as decreased glucose signals. These findings indicate radiation-induced disturbed energy, lipid and protein metabolism. The information obtained from this study reflects multiple physiological dysfunctions. The study promises the application of NMR-based metabonomics in the field of radiobiology, for development of metabolic-based markers for screening of risk populations and medical management in these cases.

The aim of this paper is to explore the basic trend of dialectics in worshipping of Samai Mai temple at Tilaurkot, Kapilvastu. This cannot be denied that the dialectics or contradictory approach that might be thought to be the basic tenet of ameliorations. Dialectics here is used as debate/contradictions in behavioral patterns of the people in a specific culture. (People coming to worship Samai Mai) Dialectics is used as a gap between idea and cultural beliefs and behavior of people in Hindu cultural context. Celebrating worshipping is dialectic materialistic in nature it has great significance, bio-psychologically, socio-culturally, adaptive as well as perceived as religious. Religion is a ‘social-glue’ that offers individuals purpose and meaning for their lives. That is why people believe in deities either for “Hope” or for “Fear”. They perform religious rituals as an honour to the divine power. Both worshipping and offering devotions, beliefs in cultural context are determined by their dialectics in it.

It is qualitative in nature including both primary and secondary sources. 50 respondents were chosen as samples. The results showed that, there was drastic impact on tourism sector affecting national economy, It has brought to light various challenges to be faced in path of recovery and the greatest lesson learnt is that the government should develop its health sector and the people should always be strong and prepared to face any disaster or pandemics at all times. Solutions are provided in form of recommendations.

He is affiliated with Lord Shiva. His abode is the cremation grounds and has four arms and three eyes, sitting on five corpse. He holds trident, drum, sword and hammer. He rubs ashes from the cremation ground. He is surrounded by vultures and jackals. His consort is Kali. Both together personify time and destructive powers. The paper deals with Sacred Mahakala and it mentions legends, tales, myths in Hindus and Buddhist texts. It includes various types, forms and iconographic features of Mahakalas. This research concludes that sacred Mahakala is of great significance to both the Buddhist and the Hindus alike.
