Present study assessed the status of aquaculture extension services in the Eastern Region of Ghana. The study examined the socioeconomic characteristics of fish farmers (specifically managers and owners of fish farms), the respondent’s assessment of extension services available to them and their general expectation from extension workers. Fifty farms were selected for this study, with either the farm owner or manager being the respondent. The findings of the study indicate that a large number of the respondents (48%) find the extension services unavailable. The farmers prioritize feed preparation and production as their top most need. The study concludes that although the extension service is not available to a large number of farmers (48%), the socio-economic characteristics of farmers indicates that new technologies are likely to be accepted at a higher rate by the farmers. Climate change has serious implications on food security and livelihood in West Africa since it m... more Climate change has serious implications on food security and livelihood in West Africa since it modulates the socio-economic activities in the sub region. The inter-decadal, seasonal, and inter-annual precipitation variability over Ghana has been studied and their spatial and temporal patterns analysed using empirical orthogonal function approach with a view to detecting climate change. A secondary monthly mean precipitation space-time series data from 1970-2010 from Climate Research Unit (CRU) at a high-resolution of 5 . 0 5 . 0 × has been used in this analysis. Empirical Orthogonal Function (EOF) analysis was used DORCAS A. ADDO et al. 122 to study the spatial and temporal trend of monthly mean precipitation and temperature over Ghana. A decadal and inter-annual variation of the spatial and temporal patterns were observed respectively. The temporal analysis showed a decrease of precipitation.

We reviewed literature on the Bell's inequality which is necessary for quantum teleportation. Quantum teleportation utilises a single-particle entangled state which can be successfully achieved by the application of the locality assumption which leads to Bell's inequality. A violation of the Bell's inequality signifies the nonlocal nature of a single particle useful for quantum teleportation.
