Every second, new devices, systems and users connect within the network, which causes constant growth and changes in the sphere of threats arising from cyberspace. Türkiye is one of the countries in the world most exposed to cyber threats. However, one of its goals was to bring the field of cybersecurity to an international level. The aim of this article is to present the framework of Türkiye's cybersecurity policy and answer the following questions: What steps have been taken in Türkiye to protect the state and society against the effects of threats in cyberspace? In which areas has Türkiye achieved significant progress in cyberspace protection, and which are still the biggest challenges?

It is of key importance to show the way in which the phenomenon of migration and crises are presented to the Polish public by political actors, as well as the actions taken to solve them. The analysis covers two important migration crises in the recent years, namely the EU refugee crisis that was particularly intensified in 2015 and the crisis on the Belarusian border in 2021-2022. Methods: The approach used in the research process is descriptive and exploratory in its nature. The main methods used in this study include desk research and a systematic review of literature and of websites concerning securitization theory and migration crises selected as case studies. Results: What is also associated with the policies and practices in place at the time of migration crises, is a negative migration discourse, compounded by a narrative that describes migration and migrants as a threat, and images designed to create fear. Socially constructed "threats of migration" as a security issue in Poland concern migrants from the Middle East and Africa. Conclusions: In a situation referred to as a crisis, during which migrants are defined as a threat requiring the use of emergency measures, policymakers have an option of managing migration to limit its scale. This model involves, among other things, closing borders, increasing the number of services, denying asylum requests or, finally, erecting a fence and a monitoring system in the cross-border area.

Partia Sprawiedliwości i Rozwoju objęła w Turcji władzę i kontynuowała polityczne, gospodarcze i prawne reformy mające na celu zbliżenie tego państwa do standardów i wartości Unii Europejskiej. Ostatecznie w 2005 r. udało się Turcji otworzyć negocjacje akcesyjne, jednak bez gwarancji przyszłego członkostwa. Z czasem pierwotne obietnice reform ustąpiły miejsca coraz poważniejszym naruszeniom w zakresie wolności słowa i praw człowieka. Wraz z zahamowaniem demokratycznych zmian i wzrostem autorytarnych działań tureckich władz, zauważalny stał się impas w stosunkach z UE.

Currently, Türkiye is a country with the largest number of refugees in the world. Over 3.7 millio... more Currently, Türkiye is a country with the largest number of refugees in the world. Over 3.7 million of them come from Syria. At the beginning of the migration crisis which affected European Union member states, Türkiye as a transit destination provided refugees with a place at Temporary Accommodation Centers (TACs). After signing the agreement with the European Union (on March, 21 2016) and with the increasing number of refugees in Türkiye, it became impossible to place all of them in refugee camps. Syrians began to migrate not only to border cities and towns, but also to Istanbul and other Turkish metropolises. This article aims to show the impact of refugees on the situation of Istanbul and other Turkish cities. The analysis is intended to answer the following questions: how did refugees change the structure of Turkish cities? How did the migrations of the Syrian community affect the border cities of Türkiye and the metropolises in the western and central part of the country? Which socioeconomic problems did the increase in the number of refugees generate in Türkiye? What kind of social problems arose in Turkish cities with the arrival of Syrian refugees?

The phenomenon of globalization, the development of technology, and the widespread use of the Int... more The phenomenon of globalization, the development of technology, and the widespread use of the Internet have led to the creation of a digital space for information processing and exchange. Currently, it is used by various users, including public institutions, private companies, and individual users who have access to the network at home and on private electronic devices. Cyberspace protection has therefore become one of the main strategic goals in the security area of every states. Ensuring it depends mainly on the creation of effective mechanisms for preventing and combating threats on the Internet. The aim of this article is to present the issue of cyberterrorism as one of the main threats to the security of society and the state in cyberspace. With the development of the Internet, terrorists have new opportunities to act, regardless of where they are at any given time. Therefore, the article attempts to define the concept of cyberterrorism and the possible applications of this form of activity on the Internet. An important aspect has become the analysis of the benefits of using cyberspace for terrorist groups, including in terms of the radicalization of young people.

Factors which have a major influence on his success are of social, economic and cultural nature. The aim of article is to show the evolution of parliament’s role in Turkey and the changes taking... more The aim of article is to show the evolution of parliament’s role in Turkey and the changes taking place within the tripartite division of power from the time of the establishment of the Republic of Turkey (1920’s) to 2018. The article attempts to answer the following questions: how have the scope of competences and the position of the Turkish parliament changed? What are the competences of the parliament following the last reform of the Basic Law (1982)? The research hypothesis assumes that in the case of Turkey, we are dealing with a process of gradual deparliamentarization and replacement of parliament’s supremacy in the tripartite division of powers with a strong monocratic executive power. The changes taking place, characterized in successive basic laws and their amendments, can be described as a gradual weakening of the legislative power and the reduction of its powers in the structure of governmental bodies.

Przywództwo polityczne i autorytet przywódcy we współczesnej Turcji Streszczenie CEL NAUKOWY: Cel... more Przywództwo polityczne i autorytet przywódcy we współczesnej Turcji Streszczenie CEL NAUKOWY: Celem niniejszego artykułu jest przedstawienie uwarunkowań i cech przywództwa politycznego oraz autorytetu przywódcy w Turcji i ukazanie ich wpływu na zmiany zachodzące w obrębie polityki państwa oraz struktury systemu politycznego. PROBLEM I METODY BADAWCZE: Hipoteza stanowi, że w przypadku Turcji autorytet przywódcy i przywództwo polityczne wpływają na personalizację polityki, zmiany systemowe oraz akceptację dla autorytarnych zachowań władzy. Zastosowane w badaniu metody to desk research oraz metoda analizy źródeł pisanych. Rozwiązanie problemów badawczych możliwe było dzięki wykorzystaniu techniki wtórnej analizy danych zastanych (zarówno danych jakościowych, jak i ilościowych). PROCES WYWODU: W pierwszej części zdefiniowano pojęcia przywództwa politycznego, przywódcy politycznego i autorytetu politycznego. W drugiej, analizie poddano zagadnienie autorytetu przywódcy partyjnego jako elementu kultury politycznej. W części trzeciej przedstawiono uwarunkowania oraz cechy przywództwa politycznego oraz autorytetu obecnego prezydenta R.T. Erdoğana i podjęto próbę ukazania ich wpływu na zmiany zachodzące m.in. w obrębie struktury systemu. WYNIKI ANALIZY NAUKOWEJ: Jedną z charakterystycznych cech kultury politycznej Turcji jest znaczenie autorytetów i kult przywódców. Mają one S u g e r o wa n e c y t o wa n i e : Liszkowska, D. The article consists of three parts. In the first part, the author discusses the role of Turkey in overcoming the migration crisis along with statistics concerning the number of refugees in this country. The second part presents the state’s policy towards Syrian refugees and its evolution. The third part includes an analysis of the consequences which the migration crisis and the infl ux of refugees has caused in the socio-political situation of Turkey. This part also containsan analysis of public opinion surveys on the attitude of Turks towards the refugee community.
