To fulfill the objective of this research work, some operating parameters affecting the performance of the two compost turning machines were taken into consideration: Three different types of field crop residues of rice straw, cotton stalks and corn stalks, four different machine forward speeds of 1.0, 1.2, 1.4 and 1.6 km/h, four different turning drum speeds of 150, 200, 250, and 300 rpm and four turning times of 1, 2, 3 and 4 times/month were considered. Evaluation of the compost turning machines was carried out taking into consideration compost density, period to compost maturity, machine productivity, energy requirements and final compost quality. The obtained data revealed that the compost density, the period to compost maturity, the machine productivity, energy requirements and final compost quality were in the optimum ran...
The use of plant growth-promoting diazotrophic bacteria as an alternative to increase nitrogen (N... more The use of plant growth-promoting diazotrophic bacteria as an alternative to increase nitrogen (N) availability and contribute to its use by corn can be a less costly and ecologically more viable option. Thus, this study aimed to evaluate the effects of the inoculation with Azospirillum brasilense and Herbaspirillum seropedicae in association with N fertilization on the N use efficiency and its biological fixation by corn, in field conditions, using the 15 N-isotope technique. A randomized-block design was used, with nine treatments and six replicates. The following parameters were evaluated: grain productivity, dry matter production, accumulated N in plant, percentage of N from the fertilizer, total N from the fertilizer, use efficiency of N applied as fertilizer and percentage of biological N fixation. Results show that N fertilization associated with A. brasilense and H. seropedicae inoculations influences positively grain productivity in corn. The inoculation with A. brasilense ...

The objective of this study was to review the pharmacological effects of ginsenoside Rh1 in a systematic manner. We performed searches on eight electronic databases including MEDLINE (Pubmed), Scopus, Google Scholar, POPLINE, Global Health Library, Virtual Health Library, the System for Information on Grey Literature in Europe, and the New York Academy of Medicine Grey Literature Report to select the original research publications reporting the biological and pharmacological effects of ginsenoside Rh1 from in vitro and in vivo studies regardless of publication language and study design. Upon applying the inclusion and exclusion criteria, we included a total of 57 studies for our systemic review. Ginsenoside Rh1 exhibited the potent characteristics of anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, immunomodulatory effects, and positi...
