Information regarding technostress is scant in the field of education, particularly among the stu... more Information regarding technostress is scant in the field of education, particularly among the students who are involved in the ever-present use of technology in the new set-up of online learning. A descriptive-comparative research design was used in the study with the respondents from 1st year to 4th year students enrolled in private and public nursing schools. Through a convenience sampling technique, data are collected from a total of 262 respondents.
The results of the study indicated that nursing students of both private and public schools, have the same level of assessment on technostress. Most of the respondents are pressured to change their current learning habit to meet the requirements of e- learning, having the highest average on the technostress scale. In the assessment of the personality trait in private and public nursing schools, openness to experience scored the highest. Nursing students in public nursing schools had lower overall weighted mean than private schools on all the Big Five personality traits.
The researchers concluded that there is no significant relationship on the level of technostress and the personality trait of the nursing students in private schools. On the other hand, there is a significant relationship on the level of technostress and the personality traits of the respondents in public nursing schools.
