Data were collected from a sample of 20 couples in Iran who were selected by purposive sampling method. To select them, first, they had to complete at least 2 years of marriage and, second, they should be willing to voluntarily participate in our training course. The selected sample was divided into experiment and control groups using the random assignment method based on a pre-test–post-test plan. The experimental group was trained in communication skills training via 8 weekly based sessions. During this period, no intervention was given to the control group. The hypothesis analyses using the covariance analysis showed that the communication skills training enhanced marital intimacy and reduced marital conflicts in all levels. It was also hypothesized that higher the pay satisfaction higher will be the organizational commitment. It was also hypothesized that higher the perceived employment opportunities higher will be turnover intentions. In order to determine the relationships, results were analyzed by the use of Pearson Product Moment correlation coefficient. The overall results revealed significant relationship between the variables and supporting all the hypotheses.

The positive psychology intervention under analysis focused on the improvement of six work and organizational-related dimensions referred to as individual resources (i.e. “framing”, “attitudes”, “meaningfulness”, “identity”, “leading self”, and “yoked together”), which are hypothesized as bearing a positive impact on job crafting behaviours, flow at work and work engagement. A sample of employees (N=89) working in a pharmaceutical Italian company received a 2-day resource-based intervention based on meaningfulness, mindfulness and practical exercises. A halfday follow-up intervention was delivered after two months of the first intervention. Self-reported questionnaires were completed prior the intervention and one, two, and three weeks after it. Findings from a repeated measures anova suggest that the intervention was effective in fostering higher job crafting, flow at work and work engagement, which are important drivers of happiness at work. This initiative encourages future studies and researchers to focus on designing interventions directed at enhancing and developing crafting attitudes and happiness at work. The proposed study provides evidence that positive psychology intervention could improve employee well-being and employees’ proactive behaviours, outcomes that could represent a noticeable advantage for both employees and organizations
