The national production of cocoa grew 440%, going from 20,000 tons in 2007 to 108,140 tons in 2016, showing an annual growth of 10% to 12%, and it is expected to continue increasing in the coming years. This project aims to give a greater added value to cocoa by designing a chocolate production line in the department of Piura with the support of the Norandino cooperative, which will produce chocolate bars of 32 grams with a percentage of cocoa of 49 % and 20% of panela. The plant will have an initial cost of 789 166 soles. The objective is to start using the machinery as of the fifth year and produce up to 42,745 kilograms of chocolate to meet the growing demand for chocolate.
