Necessary births and immigration improvements are estimated for scenarios of full and partial compensation for Russian demographic losses since the end of XX century.

The Kullback distance, considered earlier to be unique as a measure with this property, turns out to be a mere specimen of this class. It is shown that the very feature of monotonic convergence agrees with demographic potential of age specific stabilization measures. The paper also introduces a class of monotonic measures of the convergence to each other of two non-stable populations with similar reproduction regimes. Numerical illustrations and demographic applications conclude the paper.

Based on the demographic potential approach, a generalization of the concept of reproductive value is introduced, which exhibits exponential dynamics both in the classical case of constant vital rates and in a wider class of populations. The generalized reproductive value introduced in this paper fits the classical interpretation by Fisher as a discounted sum of future births in the general class of models addressed here. Our results show when Fisher's classical results may be used as good approximations. They could also be of importance for estimating the fitness of biological populations, aggregate population modeling, and studying the long-term consequences of varying vital rates.

This relation (proposed earlier, but not really well known in western literature) follows from another useful relation between fertility, reproductive values, survival, and Lotka's coefficient. These results are applied to provide demographic interpretations to the intrinsically dynamic and metastable population models by Schoen and co-workers.

The study reveals antique elements, traced both in the overall dimensions and in the details of the proportions of the mausoleum and its images. The dimensions are maintained in Roman feet, as in the famous Arkhyz Circle, and the proportions are systematically based on the golden section, the "living square" and the roots of two and five, characteristic of ancient Greek religious buildings. These characteristics harmoniously complement the previously discovered parallels between the iconography of the monument and the Caucasian Nart epic in its Karachay-Balkar version. It is assumed that the penetration of antique elements is associated with the influence of the Byzantine Neoplatonists, after their defeat by the Comneni in the 1080s, on the political and religious turn in Caucasian Alania. We managed to restore the probable ideal geometric shape of the trapezoid " Babylon ", which served as a standard for antique sizes and proportions and is depicted on the facade of the monument. This unique instrument was probably an innovation of late Alania, dating back to the traditions of the ancient Turkuts , Khazar -Bulgars and the ideas of the Neoplatonists. Based on the reconstruction of the historical context, we date the mausoleum to the first quarter of the 12th century.
