This study focused on the error of judgment of the characters in selected Shakespeare's major pla... more This study focused on the error of judgment of the characters in selected Shakespeare's major plays: Hamlet, Romeo and Juliet, King Lear, Othello, Antony and Cleopatra. It analyzed the tragic flaw found in the events, theme, setting, and characterization. The error of judgment of the characters as the cause of their downfall are identified by the use of the literary device Hamartia as outlined by Aristotle in his Poetics. This presented its implications in teaching literature. This is a qualitative descriptive-analytical anchored by textual analysis. It utilized analytical description in the concept of errors found in Shakespeare's tragic plays. The plays of Shakespeare are indisputably the greatest tragedian in the field of writing because of his overreaching protagonists which also are tragic heroes. It stipulates some flaws which led to their destruction. It was determined that the protagonists in the plays show some flaws in the events, how the plays change from happiness to misery because of errors; setting, the time and place in which the action of the tragedy occurred; theme, which represents the kind of tragedy and lastly the characterization, by pointing out the qualities and their deeds.

This study focused on determining the attitudes and academic performance of engineering students ... more This study focused on determining the attitudes and academic performance of engineering students in Technological University of the Philippines-Manila. A total of 139 male engineering and 47 female engineering students were the respondents of the study. This only dwell on the attitude in learning English Language Vocabulary in terms of their behavioral aspects, cognitive aspects, and emotional aspects. This is a quantitative study utilized by descriptive and inferential method as the research design. Based on the findings, academic grades strongly correlate with their attitude in learning English vocabulary which is a negative correlation coefficient in all its components with r value of-0.3695 in behavioral,-0.5261 in Cognitive, and-0.4332 in emotional aspect. Their P values is less than .00001 which is significant at p<0.05. Thus, the null hypothesis where there is no significant relationship between their ALEV and academic performance is rejected. The researcher recommends that teachers should enhance creativity in teaching vocabulary which inculcate the positive attitudes and motivation towards learning process. Teachers and parents should encourage the learners to read and watch educational related materials.

This study established the impact of public leadership behaviors on fiscal transparency and good ... more This study established the impact of public leadership behaviors on fiscal transparency and good governance of the Pasay City Government. This is anchored by descriptive method of research with the questionnaire as the major data-gathering tool. The respondents of the study composed of 150 rank-and-file and 80 middle-level management employees of the Pasay City Government. The following statistical technique were used to analyze the gathered data from questionnaires; Frequency and percentage, weighted mean, t-test and Person-r. Findings of the study revealed a positive and significant relationship between public leadership behaviors and good fiscal transparency and good governance practices. Ethical leadership behaviors have the most significant effect on good fiscal transparency and good governance practices; while political loyalty leadership behaviors have least impact. This suggests that the local officials should create and maintain a culture that upholds honest and ethical behaviors by verbally promoting ethical environment and relentlessly "walking the talk", making ethical behavior part of LGU's agenda. Moreover, local officials should engage in reflective practice on how they can effectively strike a balance in their leadership behaviors when supporting employees in dealing with issues airing from accountability, lawfulness, ethics, political loyalty, and network governance.
