
Dr. Nat Clegg
Nat is a trained coaching psychologist and hypno-psychotherapist, both of which he uses when developing peer learning activities. Nat’s earliest background was in secondary and tertiary education where he directed teacher training within school and colleges. Nat also direct ed ICT in the curriculum in Essex County and then for the States of Guernsey . This was the creation and support of an educational initiative to connect all the channel Islands through a learning platform, enhancing the curriculum for all schools, teachers and students increasing the access to resources and the ability to communicate across the islands.
From this basis Nat gained an interest in the connection between learning and human behaviour which led to becoming a professional coach. Nat believes that coaching and co-coaching can empower and increase agency, self-confidence, and the capacity to try new ideas and he has worked all over the world coaching coaches for the UN and the private and public sector and running many kinds of training events, workshops and academies, and organizing Knowledge Share conferences in many countries for the UN and NGOs.
Nat has a great deal of experience in providing team building for multinational teams and is an accredited multicultural trainer. Nat has a PhD in Coaching Psychology and is an expert in working with creativity within coaching, globally he has trained hundreds of coaches in person centred coaching practices. Nat will work alongside Lenni in the management and animation of the self-reflection clubs, the development of the ambassadors and facilitate content for the newsletter and peer review processes. Languages: English – native speaker.
As Peer Coach Nat has a deep experience in establishing rapport and how to build trusting relationships with the clients. He sets clear goals and expectations for the coaching relationship using active listening and questioning techniques to help gain insights. He provides constructive feedback and guidance for skill development and collaborates with coaching clients to create action plans for achieving goals, monitoring progress, and adjusting coaching strategies as needed.
As Self-Reflection Facilitator he will design and facilitate action learning sessions, creating a supportive and collaborative group atmosphere, and encouraging participants to explore and reflect on real-world challenges.
As per his long experience, he facilitates the sharing of insights and learning within the group, ensuring that action plans are developed and commitments are made, evaluating the effectiveness of the action learning process and making adjustments as needed.
