This study obtained expert consensus on the constructs of personal leadership competencies for Ma... more This study obtained expert consensus on the constructs of personal leadership competencies for Malaysia Matriculation College middle leaders using the approach of the Fuzzy Delphi Method (FDM). A list of instruments containing the proposed construct and all the elements was given to 30 experts from various fields and backgrounds. This study's finding indicates that most of the experts agree with the proposed constructs and elements of the personal leadership competencies. The threshold values for all the 14 elements tested met the requirements of d≤0.2. All the expert agreements achieved the targeted percentage, which is between 75% and 100%. The Alpha-cut value also met the requirement needed between 0.878 and 0.950, which is the threshold of 0.5 (α-cut≥0.5). Through FDM, the defuzzification process was carried out to rearrange all the elements based on the experts' ranking agreed. This study successfully presented a new construct by considering the crucial elements in middle leaders' competencies in the Malaysian context.

Dyscalculia is a learning difficulty faced by an individual. The purpose of this study is to inve... more Dyscalculia is a learning difficulty faced by an individual. The purpose of this study is to investigate the level of problems of dyscalculia in primary schools. The researchers employed quantitative design to carry out the study. Survey method is used to collect the data. Descriptive and inferential statistics are used to analyze the survey data. A study was conducted with 381 primary schools Mathematics teachers in Malaysia. Means and standard deviation were used to analyze the level of problems of dyscalculia, whereas independent t-test were used to compare the level of problems of dyscalculia between school locations. The results show that the level of problems of dyscalculia is medium high (M=3.31, σ=0.97). On the other hand, the problem of dyscalculia in rural area is slightly higher (M=3.822, σ=0.697) than the urban area (M=3.717, σ=0.696). In short, there is no significant difference for the level of problems of dyscalculia between different school locations (p=0.147, p>0.05). This study is able to bring significances to Ministry of Education Malaysia, educators, teachers, and researchers. The result is useful to determine the allocations of funding and resources for the students with learning difficulties. It is also able to create the awareness of dyscalculia among the people. As a conclusion, interventions and diagnosis need to be carried out in order to improve the capabilities of these pupils to the maximum.

tanggungjawab pengurus... more Pemimpin pertengahan merupakan kumpulan kepimpinan sokongan yang menggalas
tanggungjawab pengurusan yang semakin kompleks. Dalam konteks pendidikan, pemimpin
pertengahan adalah pendidik yang memiliki dwiperanan iaitu sebagai pendidik, dan mereka
juga bertanggungjwab melaksanakan pengurusan. Oleh itu, pemimpin pertengahan
memerlukan kompetensi khusus bagi melaksanakan tanggungjawab mereka. Ketiadaan
panduan khusus bagi pemimpin pertengahan akan membawa kepada kesukaran dan kelemahan
sewaktu mereka melaksanakan tugas. Sehubungan dengan itu, kajian ini dilakukan bertujuan
membangunkan model kompetensi pemimpin pertengahan dalam konteks kolej matrikulasi
Kementerian Pendidikan Malaysia. Kajian ini merupakan analisis keperluan bagi mengenal
pasti elemen model kompetensi pemimpin pertengahan. Kajian dilakukan secara kualitatif
menggunakan kaedah temu bual terhadap enam orang pemimpin kolej matrikulasi yang dipilih
secara bertujuan dan memenuhi kriteria ditetapkan. Analisis temu bual mendapati beberapa
elemen utama diperlukan oleh pemimpin pertengahan bagi melaksanakan tugas mereka seperti
kemahiran interpersonal, kepimpinan dan pengurusan, komunikasi, pementoran, serta akhlak
dan sahsiah
