This study introduces the Economic Turbulence and Business Adaptation (ETBA) Theory, drawing an analogy between business dynamics and the Relative Wind Effect, which describes how objects interact with turbulent airflows. The study aims to analyze how businesses adapt to economic turbulence and develop strategies to mitigate financial instability. The objectives include examining past economic crises, categorizing business adaptation strategies, and forecasting potential future economic downturns, particularly between 2025 and 2029. The study adopts a qualitative methodology involving a historical analysis of financial crises and business responses. The findings indicate that firms adopting proactive adaptation strategies demonstrate greater resilience and growth. The study further predicts a possible global economic downturn in the late 2020s, necessitating strategic measures for businesses to navigate it successfully.

Blending transformational leadership with Christian leadership in the Christian schools run by the Ugandan diocese of Namiremebe , 2023

The public and media present a generally detrimental picture of education: high levels of teacher and student absenteeism, weak administration at the school level, a lack of suitable learning resources, and lack of discipline on the part of certain students and teachers. The purpose of this study is to ensure that leaders actively try to raise their followers' awareness of what is best for the overall mission of their Christian educational institutions. It focuses on blending transformational leadership with Christian leadership in Christian schools. According to a review of the literature, transformational leadership can be used to change people's minds and hearts, broaden vision, insight, and understanding, clarify purposes, make behavior consistent with beliefs, principles, or values, and bring about changes that are long-lasting, self-perpetuating, and momentum-building. These tactics involve cultivating people's capacities on a personal, interpersonal, and institutional level; fostering Christian leaders' roles; and emphasizing the qualities of successful Christian leadership. The body of research on Christian transformation leadership in churches-owned schools is expanding, and this study is a part of it. As part of action research focused at enhancing school systems, it is advised that transformational leadership be implemented in all church-founded schools at all levels, including primary, secondary, tertiary, and university levels. The use of transformational leadership should not only be restricted to the Namiremebe Diocese in Uganda, but also to all of the country's dioceses.

achieve the highest level of learning led to the introduction of evening programmes at higher level
to target those who cannot fit in normal day-hours programmes. Despite considerable research
dedicated to female enrolment at higher education, attention has not been given to challenges
faced by female graduate students in accessing evening programmes. Researchers examine the
physical, organisational, managerial, and policy frameworks within which female students access
graduate evening programmes. In understanding some female graduate students’ experiences on
evening programmes, researchers discover multifaceted challenges they encounter such as lack of
enough facilities to accommodate female graduate students, poor security, sexual harassment,
poor economic background of most female students including single mothers, lack of guidance and
counselling services, and household responsibilities for the married females. Researchers conclude
that the causes are personal, social, economic, institutional and administrative. Researchers,
therefore, recommend that the University should set up or lobby the private sector to provide
affordable female accommodation near campus, strengthen security measures in and around
campus, revitalise guidance and counselling services, and ensure equal opportunity policy.

Buganda Agreement of 1900: Reasons for its Signing, Terms and Effects on Uganda , 2023

The agreement was one of the most-unequal treaties, unjust, coercive, and predatory colonial treaties concluded in East Africa and arguably the most important treaty that helped the British to strengthen its control not only over Buganda but the entire East Africa. The reasons for its signing have been labeled to have been necessary as it wasn't a treaty between equal parties. Never the less the agreement had short and long term provisions; in addition, it had far reaching positive and negative effects on the people of Uganda. This literature review attempts to explore reasons for its signing, terms and effects on Uganda. The review found out that, the agreement between the British and the Baganda people was signed to define the position of Buganda within Uganda, confirm its submission to British rule, and The British and Baganda people signed an agreement to establish Buganda's position in Uganda, confirm its submission to British rule, and ensure safe conditions for missionary activities after religious wars. The agreement aimed to promote British exploitation policies, prepare for resource exploitation, and aid Kabaka Daudi Chwa II. It also rewarded the Baganda for their support in extending colonial rule, giving two lost counties to Bunyoro in Mubende. The agreement ended religious wars that had destabilized Buganda. It would be wise that Uganda and Buganda make amends for the unfavourable impacts of this agreement and make sure they never fall into the same traps again.

Management, Administration, Leadership: A Review of Distinctive Characteristics in Higher Education Management , 2022

M... more Management, administration, and leadership have been defined differently by different scholars. Many scholars look at the three terms as being the same, yet others believe that the three concepts are different. This paper which is base on review of literature from articles attempts to determine the differences between management, administration and leadership. Even though management, administration, and leadership have been interchangeably used and thought to be similar; this study found out that the three concepts are completely poles apart. The findings revealed that management is concerned with maintaining efficiently and effectively the current organizational arrangements whereas leadership engrosses influencing people's actions towards achieving desirable ends. Yet on the other hand administration was found to be a process of working with and through others in order to accomplish organizational goals and objectives efficiently. In general, this study suggests that the three concepts of management, administration, and leadership engross unique roles. The researcher therefore recommends that Higher Education Institutions should create a contributive environment under which leaders, managers, and administrators execute their distinctive roles for institutional development.
