In this paper, classification of the current types of building energy management systems is mentioned, then, VLC is introduced .Advantages and Disadvantages of using this system in BMS is discussed and finally, combining this network with currently used networks, a dynamic, reliable and easy to install management system is proposed. I. INTRODUCTION One of the most important factors in studying the progress of countries is a comparison of their energy consumption in industry and production of total energy consumption. Considering that around 40% of used energy in our country was used in buildings, which is known as non-productive consumers, it is crystal clear why the energy consumption in buildings should be minimized. Methods which have bee...

In most of the developed countries, electric power companies are planning to put priority on Smart Grid planning and for fulfilling this, implementation of Smart Metering Systems and energy management are the first and most basic step. Certainly, in the implementation of smart grids and smart metering infrastructure, power companies will face two major challenges, the cost of implementing these systems and the implementation complexity of the system. Therefore, this paper examines the challenges and strategies in order to better implementation of these systems in electrical grids.

sources and an aging and under-invested power grid has
led to pressing energy management focus of
governments. Smart Grid is described as the future
generation of the electricity network that functions more
cooperatively. Since the domestic and service sector
together is the largest consumer, we focus on Smart
Homes. The main aim of this system is reducing energy
consumption while maintaining comfort and safety in
buildings. But with the use of smart meters in the smart
grid, type of exchanging data in smart homes is going to
change totally. On the other hand, It is expected that
widespread adoption of Plug-in Hybrid Vehicles, PHEVs
will be by 2050. PHEVs are promising alternatives to
conventional fuel based cars as they consume less
gasoline and have lower operating costs. Since Charging
the PHEVs from the electricity grid will definitely impact
the load on the grid, provisions for charging these
vehicles in smart homes should be done.
