Individualism vs. collectivism is negatively related to all the organizational traits except involvement. Masculinity vs. femininity is positively connected to involvement, but negatively to other traits. Uncertainty avoidance is positively linked to all the organizational traits except consistency. Long term vs. short term orientation is positively associated to the organizational traits involvement and consistency, but negatively related to adaptability and mission. JEL classification: Z1.

The most important global challenge of our time has prompted the formation of climate change management policies around the world; international agreements have been concluded for this purpose. In 2015 the Paris Agreement was signed and the United Nations General Assembly approved the United Nations Agenda for Sustainable Development until 2030. The goal 13 "Take urgent action to combat climate change and its effects" and tasks for the implementation of this goal were established and approved by the EU legal acts. The European Green Deal was initiated to define the EU's vision of creating a climate-neutral economy by 2050. Those interested in climate change and the green course often raise the question of whether e...

This article analyses sustainable development as the main long-term link of society's development ideology towards knowledge management. It is stressed that knowledge, experiences, competences, civic liability motivate people to comply with the environmental, social, and economic sustainable development requirements. It has been noticed that one of the ways to study cognitive sustainable development dimension is thinking about development as a social process of learning, which on the individual level, helps people to control their personal experience of sustainable development by independently applying it to solve problems and create their future. On the organizational level, by applying knowledge management means and techniques, the intellectual knowledge of workers is transformed into sustainable competitive advantage of the organization. On the global level, the principles of sustainable development are applied when creating sustainable international community.

In the broadest sense, the economic dimension of sustainable development represents the general economic health of the country. Such macroeconomic indicators as unemployment and inflation rates are the main economic indicators of sustainable development. This article discusses the historical aspects of inflation development and the attitudes of economists towards it. The article presents a new approach to inflation and analyses the main reasons for its formation by developing a new analytical model of aggregate inflation. Based on new analytical model, the theoretical analysis of the formation of an economic bubble is provided based on saturation phenomena and its micro and macroeconomic implications are discussed. The main input of this paper is the creation of an extended (detailed) inflation model representing the main drivers of inflation and therefore contributes to the concept of contr...

Integrating these factors into the selection process is challenging. In this paper, Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA), a methodology based on linear programming, is used to measure the efficiency of alternative designs. Eight alternative designs, including both rigid and flexible pavements, for the proposed I-49 Bella Vista bypass in Arkansas, are generated following the Mechanistic-Empirical Pavement Design Guide (MEPDG). The assessment of the overall impacts of these designs on the environment during road construction and maintenance operations are conducted using the Pavement Life-cycle Assessment Tool for Environmental and Economic Effects (PaLATE). Economic output in terms of Net Present Value (NPV) and environmental outputs including energy consumption and gaseous emissions during initial construction and pavement maintenance are q...

The invention, adaptation and mass production of these new technologies is a key and essential to further human development and survival on earth. Renewable energy technologies have been developed in order to have a sustainable, clean future with limitless energy source. All of the past, present and future technologies are not linear in time when it comes to reaching different cultures and societies. Some of the cultures receive these new renewable energy technologies in a very much different order therefore there is a great change in how these cultures and societies perceive and accept the changes in their common day lives. This paper focuses on identifying and presenting the cultural acceptance differences that occur in different societies within the area of renewable energy technologies studies.

The main EU directives on sustainable energy development are those promoting energy efficiency and use of renewable energy sources, GHG mitigation policies and other documents and strategies targeted at the energy sector. Promotion of use of renewable energy sources and energy efficiency improvement are among priorities of the EU energy policy, because they exert positive effects on energy security and climate change mitigation. The framework of indicators can be developed to establish the main targets of the EU energy and environmental policies allowing to connect indicators via a chain of mutual impacts and to define policies and measures necessary to achieve the established targets, to track the impact of measures on the trends of targeted indicators and to assess the interaction of different market-based policy measures (EU emission trading sch...

The paper reviews the situation of renewable electricity generation and consumption in Lithuania and presents the results of empirical study aiming at assessment of Lithuanian household’s willingness to pay for electricity produced from renewables. The results of study indicated that the WTP of Lithuanian households is significantly lower than subsides for renewable electricity provided in the form of Feed-in prices in Lithuania. Therefore feed-in prices need to be revising taking into account WTP of Lithuanian consumers.
