Synthesis of silver nanoparticles was carried out by a reduction method using yellow watermelon r... more Synthesis of silver nanoparticles was carried out by a reduction method using yellow watermelon rind extract. Variation of sample on this synthesis was doing with ratio volume extract and ag, i.e., 1:3 and 3:1. This synthesis has been successfully carried out using 1M NaOH as a stabilizer. The formation and stability of silver nanoparticles was observed through Uv-vis absorbance spectrum. The results of the analysis using Uv-Vis spectroscopy show the formation of silver nanoparticles at wavelengths of 440-446 nm with absorbance values of 0.8356 a.u and 1.0458 a.u respectively. The FTIR analysis showed the existence of a polyphenol group functional with a range of wave numbers 601.82-3359.18 cm-1. This result concludes that yellow watermelon rind extract is involved in reducing Ag+ to Ag0.

The Simulations of X-ray diffraction patterns of MgO, BaO and ZnS ceramics were successfully perf... more The Simulations of X-ray diffraction patterns of MgO, BaO and ZnS ceramics were successfully performed by VESTA program, based on the crystal structures visualization. The aim of this research was to obtain the relationship between ionic radius to the diffraction pattern. The X-ray diffraction pattern was generated from visualization of the crystal structure. The crystal structure information was obtained from JCPDS data which contained lattice parameter, atomic coordinate and the space group. The X-ray diffraction pattern parameters which are taken into account in this research are diffraction angle of 2 Theta and Intensity. The results indicated that the peak position and intensity of the diffraction pattern are influenced by ionic radius of the cations. Structural transformation was also detected from this simulation.

Zinc oxide (ZnO) synthesized with natural reductants has attracted the attention of researchers b... more Zinc oxide (ZnO) synthesized with natural reductants has attracted the attention of researchers because it is environmentally friendly and non-toxic. In this study, ZnO was prepared using Sandoricum koetjape (S. koetjape) peel extract. An aqueous extract of S. koetjape peel was used as biological reduction agent for the synthesis of ZnO from zinc nitrate hexahydrate. The ZnO powder obtained was annealed at different temperatures i.e, 300°C, 400°C, and 500°C for 1 hour. Structural, morphological, optical properties, and functional groups of samples were analyzed using X-Ray Diffraction, Scanning Electron Microscopy, UV-Vis Spectroscopy, and Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy, respectively. This study aims to investigate the physical characteristics and photocatalyst activity of biosynt... more This study aims to investigate the physical characteristics and photocatalyst activity of biosynthesized ZnO with pineapple (Ananas comosus) peel extract under microwave irradiation. The ZnO powder was prepared in two different concentrations of zinc nitrate hexahydrate (ZNH) at 200mM (Z-200) and 500 mM (Z-500). The optical, structural, and morphological properties of ZnO were analyzed using UV-Vis spectroscopy, X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), and Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), respectively. The UV-Vis absorption spectrum showed a wide absorbance peak of ZnO at the wavelength of 300-360 nm with a bandgap energy of 3.22 and 3.25 eV. The XRD result confirmed the wurtzite structure of ZnO with high crystallinity. SEM morphology showed spherical particles with an average particle size of 190-220 nm. This outbreak is named coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) which is caused by Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2). People are not aware that their hands are often contaminated with bacteria and viruses during their activities. One of the simplest ways and can be done to prevent this is to wash your hands using soap or antiseptic, hand sanitizer. Washing your hands can reduce the number of bacteria by up to 58%. The advantages of hand sanitizers can kill germs in a relatively fast time. The active ingredients of hand sanitizers are generally alcohol group compounds with a concentration of ± 60% to 80% and the phenol group (triclosan) so that they have a mechanism of action by denaturing and coagulating cell protein germs. Penelitian ini memanfaatkan hasil rekaman USG janin dan mengolahnya dengan menggunakan program pengolahan ECG, EEG, pencitraan rekaman, dalam keadaan ini akan menampilkan bentuk sinyal denyut jantung janin (ECG) yang tidak terdapat pada hasil rekaman USG, serta melihat perbedaan pencitraan hasil rekaman dengan menggunakan frekuensi 0,5MHz, 1,5MHz, 10MHz. The Data is displayed in the form of a collection of 1-dimensional (1D) and 2-dimensional (2D) pseudosection points which are then processed using PROGRESS and RES2DINV software. The 1-dimensional cross-section results in the appearance of the subsurface structure vertically or shows the depth and thickness of the subsurface layers. The results of Wenner and Schlumberger configuration data processing show that there are differences in resistivity and depth values on each path but have the same lithology. This is because the Schlumberger configuration can only display 1 point of depth vertically, so the data obtained cannot compare the resistivity horizontally. Sulfur-doped zinc oxide (S-ZnO) nanorod has been successfully synthesized via the seed-mediated h... more Sulfur-doped zinc oxide (S-ZnO) nanorod has been successfully synthesized via the seed-mediated hydrothermal method with different sulfur concentrations (0%, 1%, 2.5%). This research aims to study the influence of the concentration of sulfur on the structure, morphology, and optical properties of ZnO as a promising material in a wide range of applications. Crystal structure, morphology, and optical properties of the samples were characterized using X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), Field Emission Electron Scanning Microscopy (FESEM), and UV-Vis Spectroscopy, respectively. The XRD pattern shows the strongest peak at 2θ = 34.43° for crystal orientation of (002). The crystallinity properties of the S-ZnO sample are higher compared to the ZnO sample. The FESEM images of the 1% S-ZnO sample exhibit the highest nanorod density arrangement. Dalam rangka mengurangi pemakaian bahan kimia berbahaya, kini telah mulai dikembangkan penggunaan bahan alami pada proses pembentukan nanopartikel. Pada penelitian ini, biosintesis nanopartikel ZnO dilakukan menggunakan ekstrak kulit Ananas comosus sebagai agen capping sekaligus agen pereduksi. Seng nitrat digunakan sebagai prekursor dari ion seng, sedangkan kulit nanas dibuat menjadi ekstrak untuk dimanfaatkan kandungan antioksidannya. Sampel ZnO dipelajari sifat fisisnya dari hasil karakterisasi X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) dan spektroskopi UV-Vis. Berdasarkan pola XRD, nanopartikel ZnO memberikan fasa kristal heksagonal wurtzite dengan ukuran kristal 14 nm. Samples were carbonized at temperature 600°C using N2 gas followed by a physical activation process using CO2 gas at temperature of 700°C. Here, the bio-waste-based activated carbon with a low-cost and easy-to-prepare approach was studied via chemical impregnation of ZnCl2 at single-stage integrated high-temperature pyrolysis. Furthermore, the activated carbon is prepared in the form of a monolith by optimizing the self-adhesive properties of the precursor. The application of different chemical concentrations can significantly improve the material properties with relatively good amorphous carbon structures. Furthermore, the maximum surface area was found to be 1129 m2 g−1. Moreover, it exhibits high electrochemical behavior with a specific capacitance of 145 Fg−1 at a constant current density of 1.0 Ag−1. Thin film ferroelectric material of Barium Zirconium Titanate (BZT) with the composition BaZr0.6Ti0.4O3 was prepared using the sol-gel method. Series resistance (Rs) and shunt resistance (Rsh) are needed to determine the characteristics and performance of PV modules for long-term operations. In this work, an anti-reflecting coating (AR layer) has been used to improve the efficiency of solar cells and to determine the stability of the parasitic resistance Rs and Rsh. A 10Watt Visero Polycrystalline PV module coated with AR layer is irradiated using direct sunlight, and using an artificial light of 500W halogen lamp at various temperature ranges from 30 °C to 60 °C. The growth solution of both pure and Se-doped ZnO nanorods employed zinc nitrate hexahydrate (ZNH) and hexamethylenetetramine (HMT) as a precursor and surfactant, respectively. As a dopant source, selenium salt solution was obtained by reacting selenium powder with sodium borohydride at low temperature. The as-prepared pure ZnO and Se-doped ZnO nanorods were characterized using field effect scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), UV-Visible spectroscopy (UV-Vis), and Photoluminescence (PL) spectroscopy. FESEM images show that the geometric shape of Se-ZnO nanoparticles is nanorods with a hexagonal cross-section. Ferroelektrik juga diaplikasikan sebagai kapasitor. Material ferroelektrik buat dalam bentuk film tipis. Barium Zirconium Titanate (BZT) dengan komposisi BaZr0.4Ti0.6O3 dibuat menggunakan metode sol-gel. Substrat yang digunakan yaitu FTO yang telah di etching dan di lapisi BZT serta di annealing pada suhu 800°C selama 2 jam dengan kenaikan laju suhu annealing yaitu 5°C dan 10°C.
