The primary advantages of this approach are the decoupling of torque and flux characteristics and easy implementation. Detuning caused by parameter disturbances still limits the performance of these drives. In order to accomplish variable-speed operation, a conventional controller is used. The conventional controllers provided limited good performance over a wide range of operation, even under ideal field-oriented conditions. In my thesis Takagi-Sugeno type fuzzy logic controller is used. It can operate in all range. The scheme is compared with conventional controller and results are validated by simulation.

Smart agriculture is essential to improve the production. But it reduces the quality of crops drastically. In order to increase the production chemical farming has been practiced for long years. Today the food stuffs are laced with chemicals and harmful residues of pesticides and antibiotics. Because of this many chronic diseases are on the rise. Chemical farming is one of the major causes, though it has enhanced crop yield several times but toxicities all food stuff. The cost of production of the necessary chemicals like fertilizers and pesticides is escalating year after year. Hence forth for a healthy life good quality agriculture is needed. In order to maximize the food production, it is profitable to care for crops from competing species of plants. Organic farming is the best options. Lots of pesticides and chemicals are applied to both pest affected and non-affected area. Though chemical farming has yielded high productivity it also affects the quality of crops produced. Chemical farming plays a vital role in increasing the chronic disease, because of the toxicity present in the pesticides and fertilizers during irrigation. Organic vegetation is essential to maximize the food production with good quality of agricultural products. One of the major challenges lies in organic vegetation is to identify the affected area and control the pest growth. When the supervision is done physically or manually initial growth of pest are not identified on time, crops are damaged which result in decrease production. While controlling the pest growth, the pesticides are applied not only on the affected area but also the whole field. The major merits of organic vegetation are it can also save the time, wastage of pesticides and manpower of the farmers. In this paper the survey on various techniques for pest identification and control methods are discussed. The laser sensor, optical sensors, acoustic sensors plays a vital role in pest identification. On implementing these sensors only the third stage of the pest is identified. By using Wireless Sensor Networks initial stage of the pest is identified based on that the control action has been taken.

Nowadays, researchers are becoming increasingly concerned about developing a highly efficient emi... more Nowadays, researchers are becoming increasingly concerned about developing a highly efficient emission free transportation and energy generation system for addressing the pressing issue of environmental crisis in the form of pollution and climate change. The introduction of Electric Vehicles (EVs) solves the challenge of emission-free transportation while the necessity for decarbonized energy production is fulfilled by the installation and expansion of solar-powered Photovoltaic (PV) systems. Hence, this paper focuses on designing an effective PV based EV charging system that aids in stepping towards the achievement of a pollution free future. For overcoming the inherent intermittency associated with PV, a novel DC-DC converter is designed by integrating both Trans Z-source converter and Luo converter, which offers remarkable benefits of high conversion range, lesser voltage stress and excellent efficiency. A novel robust Lion Grey Wolf Optimized Proportional Integral (LGWO-PI) controller is designed for significantly strengthening the operation of the integrated converter in terms of peak overshoot, Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) and settling time. A 3' Voltage Source Inverter (VSI) is employed to convert the stable DC output from the PV system to AC, which is then used for driving the Brushless Direct Current Motor (BLDC) motor of EV. The speed of the BLDC is regulated using a PI controller. The BLDC motor gets the power supply from the grid during the unavailability of PV based power supply. The grid is integrated with the designed EV charging system through a 1' VSI and the process of grid voltage synchronization is carried out with the application of PI controller. The simulation for evaluating the operation of the presented EV charging system is done using MATLAB and the attained outcomes have validated that this introduced methodology delivers enhanced performance with optimal efficiency of 97.6% and lesser THD of 2.1%.

A authentic study by means of the integration of wireless wide area networks and wireless local area networks as an example shows that our proposed vertical handover decision algorithm is able to verify when a handover is necessary, and select for the optimum way in network that is optimized to network conditions, value of service requirements, consumer choice, and service lay out. This requires the combination and interoperation of heterogeneous networks, and the provision of - vertical handover. Here we use a fuzzy inference method to process a multi-criteria vertical handover decision metrics.

Sensor-less control of induction motor drive using model reference adaptive system with PI controller as reference model will limit the performance at low speed of operation. In this thesis, a novel adaptation mechanism is proposed which replaces PI controller in MRAS adaptation mechanism by a fuzzy logic controller. The optimal locations and size of the DG's have been determined by minimizing the power distribution loss. The optimal power factor for DG supplying, both real and reactive power, has been obtained in this work. Different types of DGs supplying real and reactive power at different buses have also been considered in the proposed approach. The particle swarm optimization (PSO) technique has been used to solve the optimal placement of DGs. The results obtained from the PSO technique have also been compared with the analytical approach results. The proposed technique is tested on 33-bus test system. Also total power loss can be found out by using differential evolution.

The design and implementation of DC-DC converter which includes both high power digitally control... more The design and implementation of DC-DC converter which includes both high power digitally controlled bridge inverters to operate in full bridge power stage using different control method. It will operate upto nominal of minimum range of duty cycle for achieving Zero Voltage Switching (ZVS) and Zero Current switching (ZCS) in various interacting loads like R, L, C and motoring loads. This converter also functions under PWM mode for increased output regulation range. Here the efficiency can be increased by keeping one set of bridge inverter in OFF state for light loads. Due to this action the converter achieves no circulating current, reactive power and minimum semiconductor device stress. This circuit is more suitable for AC-DC power supply that pre-regulates intermediate DC bus.
