In this paper, we have used Least-Squares Support Vector Regression (LS-SVR) method, which is a r... more In this paper, we have used Least-Squares Support Vector Regression (LS-SVR) method, which is a reliable and robust method for regression analysis, for grayscale image watermarking in DCT domain. This method offers several advantages unlike conventional SVRs which is perceived as a minimization problem with linear inequality constraints and has solution to quadratic programming (QP) problem. Due to this reason, the problem solution becomes computationally costly. On the other hand, the solution to the LS-SVR algorithm may be obtained by solving a system of linear equations instead of solving a QP problem and therefore it consumes less time. In this case, the LS-SVR algorithm embeds a given binary watermark in three different grayscale images in a short time span. PSNR values indicate good quality of the signed images. The watermarks are also extracted and the computed values of * (,) SIM X X correlation parameter indicate that the extraction process is quite successful.

(Mimosaceae) also referred to as touch me not, live and die, shame plant and humble plant is a prostrate or semi-erect subshrub of tropical America and Australia, also found in India heavily armed with recurved thorns and having sensitive soft grey green leafl ets that fold and droop at night or when touched and cooled. These unique bending movements have earned it a status of 'curiosity plant'. It appears to be a promising herbal candidate to undergo further exploration as evident from its pharmacological profi le. It majorly possesses antibacterial, antivenom, antifertility, anticonvulsant, antidepressant, aphrodisiac, and various other pharmacological activities. The herb has been used traditionally for ages, in the treatment of urogenital disorders, piles, dysentery, sinus, and also applied on wounds. This work is an attempt to explore and compile the different pharmacognostic aspects of the action plant M. pudica reported till date.
The present work shows that the Co3+ coordination to the deprotonated pyridine-amide ligands orie... more The present work shows that the Co3+ coordination to the deprotonated pyridine-amide ligands orients the noncoordinated or hanging pyridine rings, thus furnishing a cleft in which Zn2+ ions coordinate. The building block approach points out a strategy to incorporate a Lewis acidic metal center in the periphery. This strategy has been used to synthesize Co3+-centered-Zn2+-peripheral heterobimetallic complexes. These heterobimetallic complexes have been thoroughly characterized including structural studies and have been successfully shown to catalyze the Beckmann rearrangement of the aldoximes and ketoxime to their respective amides.

This results in accumulation of metals in plant parts having secondary metabolites, which is responsible for a particular pharmacological activity. Prolonged exposure to heavy metals such as cadmium, copper, lead, nickel, and zinc can cause deleterious health effects in humans. Molecular understanding of plant metal accumulation has numerous biotechnological implications also, the long term effects of which might not be yet known.
