Methods: Twenty-three patients with TRS and 15 patients without TRS underwent DTI using a 3T magnetic resonance imaging machine. DTI data were processed with the calculation of fractional anisotropy (FA) and apparent diffusion coefficient. Patients were also assessed on Brief Psychiatric Rating Scale, Positive and Negative Symptom Scale, Global Assessment of Functioning Scale, and Clinical Global Impression severity scale. Results: Patients with TRS and non-TRS differed significantly in the FA values in the region of right superior longitudinal fasciculus and right uncinate fasciculus, with more integrity of tracts in the non-TRS group. However, these differences disappeared when Bonferroni correction was used for multiple comparisons. Conclusion: The present study suggests lack of significant difference in DTI findings between patients with TRS and non-TRS.

Jejunal polyps causing such pathology are uncommon and noteworthy. Here we present one such case.

Untreated clubfoot leads to physical, social, psychological, and financial burden on the family and society. Early intervention can prevent disability in the future. The aim of this study is to assess the effectiveness of an early intervention and conservative management to treat congenital clubfoot and prevent disability. Methods: We conducted a retrospective analysis at an urban multispecialty hospital in North India among children with a diagnosis of congenital clubfoot managed with Ponseti technique (manipulation, casting, tenotomy and bracing). Descriptive statistics and chi-square test were used to measure association between variables. Results: We had a total of 125 feet (41 bilateral, 43 unilateral). 78.5% (n=66) children were below 12 months of age with a mean age at diagnosis of 7.8 months. 70.2% (n=59) children were corrected with less than 5 casts to achieve complete correction. Tenotomy was required...

We aim to assess a national program for Weekly Iron and Folic-acid Supplementation (WIFS) to address this concern among adolescents in India. A longitudinal interventional community-based study was conducted with 1100 school-going adolescents. A questionnaire regarding socio-demographic profile, anthropometric details, and clinical examination, hemoglobin levels, and WIFS supplementation were conducted to collect information at 0, 3, 6, 9, and 12 months. The mean age of adolescents was 13.7 years. Anemia among students reduced from 95.8% to 75% post-intervention. The mean level of hemoglobin was 9.69 g/dL at 0 months and improved to 11.29 g/dL at 12 months for adolescents. The prevalence of anemia reduced significantly with WIFS over one year. Education and awareness for dietary diversification, increasing bioavailable iron, fortified food for full-term infants and children, and additional supplements are crucial to prevent iron deficiency anemia.

As the geriatric population is quiet vulnerable, They might suffer from mental and physical disabilities which consequently threatens their independence. Quality of life among the geriatric population is a global concern as it reflects the status of health and of well being among the set population. Aims: To assess the quality of life of elderly living in rural and urban areas and compare the role of socio-demographic factors influencing the quality of life of elderly. Settings and Design: It is a Community based Cross sectional study conducted in urban and rural field practice areas of MMIMSR, Mullana. Methods and Material: Convenience sampling was used. A total of 200 elderly were included in the study. A pretested semi structured questionnaire was used. Statistical Analysis: Data was analysed using SPSS 20.0. Results: According to the sex of the participants, male participants had a higher mean score for QOL as compared to the female participants. Higher mean score was found in each domain for the participants living with their spouses. Conclusions: The quality of life is better among the individuals who do not suffer from any chronic illness'. The health care services should be strengthened to provide for better healthcare to the elderlies for their morbid conditions.

An early detection can help in reducing the fracture rates and overall socioeconomic burden. The present study was conducted to find out its burden in the society and give appropriate care to the participants. Material & Methods: A cross sectional study conducted in rural field practice area of MMIMSR between October, 2018 to March, 2019. BMD at postero-anterior lumbar spine (L2-L4) and bilateral hip joint was assessed by Hologic Explorer QDR Series bone densitometer for each participant. Results: In the current study, he overall prevalence of osteoporosis was found to be higher among the male participants (26.25%) than their female counterparts (16.25%). Maximum participants who were osteoporotic were between the age group 51 to 70 years (17.5%) followed by 71 to ≥80 year's old patients (11.25%). Conclusion: A significantly larger proportion of otherwise normal healthy men in our community had osteoporosis as compared to the previous notions known. It is therefore necessary to create awareness among men and women from Indian subcontinent, irrespective of their geographic location, about the risk of osteoporosis and educate those regarding preventive measures to avoid future fractures secondary to osteoporosis. There is also a need for large community-based studies so that high-risk population can be picked up and early interventions like adequate calcium intake, vitamin D supplementation, and other life style changes can be instituted.
