This study was carried out having as an area for pilot the city of Porto Alegre, RS, where the distributor is responsible for the supply of electricity. The objective of this proposal was to define locations for carrying out a vegetation inventory through a predictive model. From satellite images, the existing vegetation in the distribution network was digitally extracted and, from this, five prioritization factors were associated via Hierarchical Process Analysis (HPA), resulting in an equation with consistency ratio where each factor is given a specific weight, resulting in a priority map. The final model is explained by 36% by the number of power outages, 21.5% by vegetation close to the grid, 21% by the affected population, ...

The main objective of this paper is to show the potential energy existing in landfills, even in medium-sized cities, and that the energetic use of biogas is an accessible alternative to be implemented. For this, it was analyzed two forms of energy generation from municipal solid waste. At the first case it was considered the use of biogas generated in landfills and at the second the waste incineration and for both cases it is presented a study of economic feasibility.

The limits of power quality disturbances that will be monitored are defined by international norm (IEEE 1159). Together with the power quality monitoring system, a power quality assessment was implemented by changing the input variables of the generator in order to restore the standards of the power grid (voltage, current and frequency). The proposed system is a management system, able to identify, quantify and monitor the power quality and can be used as a diagnostic tool for maintenance and a control system for decision-making to reestablish the generation system.

In this context, the gasification of coal is gaining ground because of technological developments, enabling the generation of electricity cleanly and with greater efficiency when compared with consolidated thermoelectric plants. From these premises, this paper will address the national energy demand growth, cost analysis and deployment of IGCC technology comparison with other economic means of generating clean.

Among the equipment used in the power distribution system stands out regulators medium voltage installed over the grid to maintain voltage levels within indifferent operating range of the oscillations. Therefore, the quality of supply has become a priority and the implementation of technologies that allow transforming conventional electrical distribution networks into intelligent ones is strategic for Distribution Operation Centers (COD) to perform remote interaction with the equipment, in this case, with a power regulator. medium voltage. In this context, this article demonstrates an IoT (Internet of Things) solution for monitoring and controlling medium voltage regulators, through the use of LPWA (Low Power Wide Area) networks, integrating this equipment with the concepts of Smart Grid (SG). The complete development of the project is presented, including the stud...

The microcontrolled hardware (PIC16F877A) receives and conditions the signal emitted for temperature sensors (thermocouples), executes an algorithm and transmits the information saw net without wire (ZigBee) for a software installed in a remote computer. The software developed in Delphi allows the user to monitor online the temperature and to send command signals to bind and disconnect loads through the drive of you reread gifts in the electronic card (the hardware). The developed system has focus in the application of monitoring of temperature in critical points of the wind turbine of small transport, also allowing that it has the intervention of the operator stopping the machine or then setting in motion refrigeration systems when the temperature limits will be exceeded, aiming at to draw out the...

The T.P.A. is a two degree of freedom induction machine similar as two linear motors in a unique traction element. To validate the simulations, a real T.P.A. was built with Steel1010 as core material. The magnetic flux was measured by exploratory coils and compared with numerical model software's results. After the validation, the core's material was substituted by SMC Somaloy500which has a high magnetic permeability allied with a higher resistivity than Steel1010and new simulations were made with variation of operating frequencies. The validation's results indicate a correct numerical modelled device with a maximum error of 9,64% and a better response with SMC Somaloy500 for force measurements especially in relative high frequencies up to 120Hz. With Somaloy500 the x-axis force were almost 9 times higher than the Steel1010 as primary core material.

The proposal provides the use of alternative materials as well the replacement of measuring high level equipment for more practical and common hardware accessories, providing a reduction in the cost of development. The objective is to minimize the cost of light sources assays, currently with a high cost, for research purposes, educational issues and the opportunity to use this alternative system for validation of new products, light bulbs and/or tubular daylighting devices for lighting indoors.

Base on collected data trough in a weather station, it is made a daily data collection and realized a projection of the sunlight which will focus on purpose study's system, according to the variations over the analyzed months. Wherefore, it is estimated the amount of replaced light bulbs and, therefore your economy. This kind of technology will allow the illumination will happen in a healthy and comfortable way.

The high magnetic permeability and electrical resistivity-characteristics of SMCprovides advantages when compared to conventional materials. It is possible to manufacture machines with low energy consumption and higher yield. Thus, this article presents performance parameters between different materials used in construcion of T.P.A obtained by simulation of its reduced model. By using the reduced model for R&D of T.P.A. minimizes costs related to manufacturing of prototypes with maintance the complete model's main eletromagnetic characteristics. The simulations was made based in 16 configurations changing materials and operation frequencies. With numerical results of: solid loss, linear and normal forces under the same current excitation. The best results was obtained with the combination: Somaloy, Aluminium and 30Hz.

Starts with a survey of this technology being developed in the tubular lighting system as well as the search for its replacement by alternative materials as a way to fund the project, uniting quality and reduced cost. With the definition of constructive elements, proceeds to the beginning of project design and development of control to maintain brightness in the environment system. Using as guidance the Brazilian Standards, which govern the methods of measuring brightness, as well as the procedure for creating models scaled tools. Finally presents the tests and their results, demonstrating the possibility of developing a hybrid lighting system at low cost.

The conclusion appears really attractive economically, given the fact that many processes generate residual thermal energy and also energy cogeneration using thermoelectric modules is totally clean, which prevents the emission of greenhouse gases to the environment.

Besides the bad smell and of being forts contaminants, these residues are still collaborators of the greenhouse effect due to the composition of the gases that comes from his decomposition. The high methane concentration in the composition of these gases favors the production of biogas, what can be converted in electric or thermal energy. The objective of this study is to conduct a case study of the implementation of a biodigester in a residential condominium, aiming for the treatment of the residues and use of a produced biogas, minimizing damage to the environment.

However, the thermoelectric plants can bring harm to the environment by the emission of particulate material into the atmosphere. Filters of various principles can be used for containment of those fly ashes, as the cyclone filter. Given the relatively low costs involved this is widely used in a industrial scale and, for having a greater scope for gains in efficiency, will be addressed during this exposed. Is this article, it's contemplated the study of the influence of the system's variables, such as flow velocity of the gas inlet and the diameter of the particles suspended therein. It must be said that this study aims to technical study the filter, not normally considered the economic feasibility of possible changes and implementations; as such factors may serve as a disincentive to finding new methods and technology, which, since then, must be evaluated economically.
