In 21 agenda 1 has been considered special role for municipalities as local government in implementation sustainable principles . in future development document of Mashhad , creation of healthy environment is one of the basic objectives . Also, has been studied urban development with emphasis on sustainable principles. Municipals are connected to urban issues such as : transportation , green spaces , waste collection , traffic , urban sewage , land-use locating and etc . So value engineering is as efficient and effective technique for reducing costs and increasing environment quality. Therefore value engineering have special place in planning of urban issues. The propose of the paper is, studying the role of value engineering in Mashhad Municipal and urban planning.

Unfortunately, there are rare empirical studies on emerging markets while they often show wider variations in corporate governance practices, which may have an impact on firm performance and dividend policy. A good example in this field is Malaysia. After independence in 1957, Malaysia has faced many challenges such as riots in 1969 and financial crises in 1997. These factors caused many reforms in corporate ownership and governance rules in this country. This study wants to find out how corporate governance and ownership can affect performance of Malaysian listed companies. This study is important and new in two ways. How do shortfalls in crude oil production caused by wars and other exogenous political events in ... more How do shortfalls in crude oil production caused by wars and other exogenous political events in oil-producing countries affect oil prices, economic growth and inflation in major ASEAN countries? In this study, we examine and compare the effects of these shocks on inflation rate and real growth rate of five major ASEAN countries: Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand. In addition, the stagflationary effect of those shocks on the economies of these countries is also studied.

ABSTRACT Interim financial reporting is designed to provide an update on the latest set of the co... more ABSTRACT Interim financial reporting is designed to provide an update on the latest set of the companies’ financial statements. It highlights significant activities and events of the company. These interim reports may assist the interested users to evaluate the company’s capacity to generate earnings and cash flows, and its financial condition. Increasing in volatility of the market demands for more rapid information to be made available for decision making processes. Thus, the issue of ‘timeliness’ of the interim reporting is a great concern in the market. This study examines the factors affecting the timeliness of interim financial reporting in Malaysian listed companies. Factors investigated by this study are level of transparency, profitability, external auditor’s review, company’s growth, company’s performance and capital structure. Data will be collected from the Bursa Malaysia listed companies interim reports. In this study we consider one forth of non-financial listed companies in the main-board of Bursa Malaysia as are sample data. This study provides some empirical evidence for regulators, investors, creditors and other stakeholders to analyze the real meaning of delay in releasing interim financial report.

Islamic Banking Selection Criteria: An Imperical Study in Malaysia

This research studies the level of awareness which Malaysians have in relation to the culture of ... more This research studies the level of awareness which Malaysians have in relation to the culture of Islamic banking, their attitude towards Islamic banking, and a ranking of the bank selection criteria. And for each part of the study, it will be studied the difference between Muslim and non-Muslim responses. A sample of 150 Muslim and non-Muslim customers in Klang Valley was surveyed by utilizing a questionnaire containing specific questions relating to the awareness and attitudes of Islamic banking to their ranking of the services required. The results indicate that the majority of the respondents whether Muslims or non-Muslims are aware of Islamic Banking although there is a significant difference among these two groups. Also, by reviewing the attitudes towards Islamic banks, there are many differences in attitudes between Muslims and non-Muslims in Malaysia. And at last, in the context of bank selection criteria, there are many significant differences among Muslims and non-Muslims.
