The composting can be added with other ingredients to add organic material. Cow manure is the one ingredient that can be added to enrich organic materials. In the composting process, the time required will be longer, but the time can be accelerated by adding a bio activator. The finished compost can be applied at the plant to meet crop nutrient elements. The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of bio activator variation and doses of cow manure on the quality of compost from coffee exocarp waste. This research was conducted at compost house of Assessment Institute for Agricultural Technology (AIAT) and was held on February - April 2017. Amik Krismawati. Indonesia is rich of genetic resources and biodiversity of Durio spp., but its development no so fastly as in Thailand. This is due to plant durio has not managed commercially and it grew hundred years and it origin from generative propagation, caused the durio plantation variety heterogen. To determine the performance and advantage of the diversity of genetic resources should be conducted observations of durio related species the characterization in each district centre. Observation and characterization of related species of durio e.i. Durio zibethinus M. (durian), Durio kutejensis H.B (papaken), Durio oxleyanus (kerantungan/taetungen), and Durio dulcis (layung) were conducted in four districts of Central Kalimantan from August 2004 to January 2005. Seasons fruity and yield of each species to variously among the durio and its related species. Differences among accesions were characterized by fruit type, fruit shape, fruit skin texture, fruit length, fruit skin colour, fruit flesh colour, and taste. The fruiting season and fruit production of each species also varied durio relatives.The result of characterization showed the related species of Durio are indigenous of Indonesia and potencially to development in the future.

ABSTRAKPotensi lahan pasang surut Kalimantan Tengah cukup luas yaitu 5,5juta hektar dimana sebagi... more ABSTRAKPotensi lahan pasang surut Kalimantan Tengah cukup luas yaitu 5,5juta hektar dimana sebagian dapat dikembangkan dengan tanaman kenaf.Penelitian uji adaptasi varietas dan galur kenaf dilaksanakan di lahanpasang surut desa Samuda, kecamatan Mentaya Hilir Selatan, KabupatenKotawaringin Timur, Kalimantan Tengah. Perlakuan berupa varietas/galurkenaf yang terdiri dari dua varietas (Hc G-4 dan Cuba 108/II) dan empatgalur hasil persilangan (Hc 85.9.75; Hc 85.9.40. 1; Hc 85.9.42; Hc85.9.66.1), yang diatur dalam rancangan acak kelompok dengan tigaulangan. Pengamatan dilakukan terhadap tinggi tanaman dan diameterbatang pada umur 40, 75 dan 105 hari setelah tanam terhadap 10tanaman acak per petak, bobot segar biomasa, bobot serat per petak, danbobot kering akar adventif.
