... more This systematic review presents a comprehensive analysis of the literature on the use of corpora
and data-driven learning (DDL) in language education. Corpus linguistics encompasses the use of
electronic text collections for linguistic analysis, while DDL entails using corpora for pedagogical
purposes in second/foreign language teaching. DDL allows language educators to move beyond
traditional methods to enhance teaching practices and learning skills. An extensive database
search identified 89 pertinent studies published between 1997 and 2022 that met the inclusion
criteria. The selected studies focused on keywords such as "DDL," "corpus linguistics," and related
phrases to identify relevant literature discussing DDL interventions in language classrooms. Only
English, peer-reviewed texts with accessible PDFs were considered for inclusion. These studies
described DDL implementation in classroom settings and the common pedagogical practices,
difficulties, and limitations encountered. The findings suggest that DDL has significant potential
as a pedagogical tool, but challenges exist that limit its positive impact on language learning.
Tailored tasks, auxiliary guidance, supplemental support, and peer/group learning were identified as effective strategies for facilitating meaningful corpus engagement for lower-proficiency
students.

The research sample consisted of 106 students from different Arabic countries. This study, following the quantitative research approach, administered Academic Motivation Scale (AMS) among MOOC learners to assess their academic motivation. Findings show that majority of participants were extrinsically motivated while others were intrinsically motivated.

Reviewing the contemporary issues in ELT can add value to language teachers and learners (Carter,2004). Exploring this area shows where we are now, and where we are headed to prepare teachers and learners for future challenges and benefits. Because the writer wants to keep the discussion manageable proportions, she adopts to present seven issues that are among the most discussed in the literature.

It discuses academic problems of EFL students in writing at Western univesities For this purpose, two research questions were posed and the answers to these questions were provided and discussed. The data for the study were collected via two questionnaires (preliminary and main questionnaire) and interviews. The present study attempted to elicit information from ten postgraduate students from a Libyan University. They enrolled in the School of Arts and Humanities on the MA in English Language Teaching course.
The findings indicate that those students faced problems in using vocabulary appropriately. These findings agree with the studies of Ibrahim and Nambiar (2011), Al-Khasawneh (2010), Bacha (2002) and Daoud (1998) that Arabic students face problems with vocabulary in academic writing.

The authors introduce key concepts, benefits, and challenges of AI, setting the stage for a deeper exploration of its roles in the educational landscape. A central focus of the book is the impact of AI on language learning and teaching methods. The authors examine how AI-powered technologies, such as Natural Language Processing, Large Language Models, and Machine Learning, are reshaping the ways in which students engage with
