The higher storage capacity, the higher risk possibly occurs impacted to the population and environment. The study aims to provide a modeling of ammonia release scenarios, escape from the storage facility, Urea Fertilizer Industry X, located in Indonesia. This model is utilizing Area Location Hazardous Atmosphere (ALOHA) software to forecast the threat zone of ammonia release scenario and QGIS to overlay and spatial analysis. The result shows that the incident causes a significant impact on the area of 41.7 km2and potentially threatens a massive scale of the inhabitant with higher evacuation factor (Ef), lower affected population (Ap). The increasing area of oil palm plantations encourages an increase in palm oil production and the generation of POME in Indonesia. This could increase potential GHG emissions and global warming. In contrast, biogas power plants from POME are less attractive for economic investment in Indonesia. However, as the world’s largest palm oil producer, Indonesia still lacks techno-economic and environmental studies of biogas power generation from POME. This study aimed to evaluate the technical, economic, and environmental aspects of the biogas power generation from POME at the study site (Bangka Island, Indonesia). The result shows that the biogas plant at the study site can reduce COD levels of POME by up to 91% and produce biogas at 325,292 m3/month, with a 55% methane content. To improve accessibility, the government built airport rail. However, the low level of occupancy threats the achievement of environmentally friendly advantages railway. This condition also affects the sustainability of the Soekarno Hatta Airport Rail. Therefore, it is necessary to know the level of sustainability of airport rail that suitable for developing country that have a limited capacity. This can be achieved by using sustainability transportation index with comparative study approach. Soekarno Hatta Airport Railway has lower sustainability compared to Hong Kong Airport Express and Narita Express. It is necessary to adjust the operation system based on occupancy level and to reduce travel time to improve its sustainability. Other policies that regulate travel behavior are needed so that the Soekarno Hatta Airport Rail will meet its purpose.

The issue of thermal comfort in walkability is a major concern in the TOD of cities in tropical climates such as Jakarta. This study aimed to model and compare microclimate conditions and thermal comfort between existing conditions and TOD spatial planning scenarios. The microclimate condition was modeled using ENVI-met, and thermal comfort was analyzed following the physiologically equivalent temperature (PET) and universal thermal comfort index (UTCI). The results of microclimate modeling showed that the average minimum temperature of the current condition was lower than the TOD at 0.149 °C; meanwhile, the average maximum temperature of the current condition was higher than the TOD at 0.761 °C. In the area of Boolang Regency, Mongondow, North Sulawesi, there is a foreign cement industry that has only been operating for about 2 years. Therefore, it is necessary to study the environmental impacts that have occurred around the cement industry. The objective of this study is to analyze the impact of the physical environment, especially water, on the production activities of the cement industry in Boolang Regency, Mongondow, North Sulawesi. The research method used was a laboratory test and the data were processed using STORET. The results showed that the water quality in the residents' wells was in very good condition, while the surface quality of the river water around the cement industry area could be categorized as lightly polluted.

The land capability is analyzed based on the elevation, slope, and subsidence, while water availability is analyzed based on groundwater quality and water supply. This article aims to build a model of residential development based on WEBGIS in the city of Parepare.The method used is the spatial analysis of overlay spatial and scoring data using software (GIS). Knowing the public's perception conducted interviews and distributed questionnaires to up to 296 respondents. The results of this study show that the development of settlements towards the suburbs. Forest area fell to 2,971 hectares in 2014, and rice fields were reduced by 837 hectares, and land for settlements increased to 923 hectares in 2015. This WEBGIS model can demonstrate the good distribution of space for the allocation of residential areas. This model is expected to be the benchmark for people who make decisions about the settlement area. This model can be a tool to anticipate the development of settlements in the city of Parepare.

Limited resources and the impact arising from the production process will impact the environment, thus hindering sustainable development. Therefore, it is needed to set indicators that can be used to evaluate power generation’s sustainability to improve the community’s welfare. This research aims to find sustainability indicators that can be used to assess the electrical power generation system. A total of 51 articles from the snowball sampling approach was analyzed using a qualitative systematic literature review and quantitative method. We found 43 indicators covering economic, social, and environmental dimensions that can be used to assessed Indonesia’s electrical power generation’s sustainability.

The pulse-lighting mode has been studied as an alternative to the continuous lighting. The aim of our study was to analyze the influence of the lighting modes of the light curing unit on the dental pulp chamber temperature of extracted teeth. We constructed an experimental unit, with different irradiances with light exposure times of 10 and 20 sec; the output temperature and irradiances were measured. The irradiances were used to polymerize resin composites restored in teeth with different light exposure times. Many studies have investigated the effects of transit-oriented development (TOD) on density, desi... more Many studies have investigated the effects of transit-oriented development (TOD) on density, design, diversity development, and transit ridership. However, fewer studies address the issue of carrying capacity of TOD. This paper aims to assess TOD areas' carrying capacity using four criteria (land capability, water availability, socio-economic, and green infrastructure) and 14 indicators on Jakarta's two TOD areas. These results show that even though both of the TOD area, Dukuh Atas and Lebak Bulus, are in the good of carrying capacity in land capability, there are some issues to address the possibility of water availability. For TOD's success, the socio-economic criteria should be promoted in the fringe-urban TOD area like Lebak Bulus. We identified the green infrastructure, such as pedestrian, cycling route, and green open space, still in low development and should be pursued to extend the TOD carrying capacity for the future.

Combined Cycle Gas Turbine Plant is one of the fossil fuel power generations that has become the ... more Combined Cycle Gas Turbine Plant is one of the fossil fuel power generations that has become the priority of the fuel-switching program by the Indonesian government to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Various indicators can be used to assess the sustainability of the power plant. However, the solution for each indicator is challenging to implement at once by the power industry. This paper presents the determination of important indicators from the industry stakeholder by using a multi-criteria decision analysis approach, which affects the sustainability of power plants. The result of this research shows that the environmental dimension has the most important scale value 0.6 of 1 compared to the social and economic dimension, and the primary elements that must be managed on environmental aspects are emissions related to the quality of the ecosystem. Our results can be used in assessing the sustainability of Combined Cycle (CC) Gas Turbines, especially in Indonesia.

Transit Oriented Development (TOD) adalah sebuah konsep pengembangan kawasan perkotaan berbasis l... more Transit Oriented Development (TOD) adalah sebuah konsep pengembangan kawasan perkotaan berbasis lingkungan yang menyediakan solusi menyelesaikan permasalahan lingkungan akibat tekanan pertumbuhan penduduk. Konsep TOD menjadi konsep yang populer di negara-negara maju, sehingga indikator-indikator keberhasilannya juga berkiblat pada negara maju. Namun demikian, permintaan akan konsep pengembangan kawasan perkotaan seperti TOD tidak hanya pada negara maju, melainkan juga untuk negara berkembang. Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi indikator keberhasilan konsep TOD untuk negara berkembang dan mengevaluasi rencana pengembangan TOD yang ada. Studi ini dilakukan di kawasan TOD Dukuh Atas DKI Jakarta sebagai kawasan TOD yang diarahkan menjadi pusat hub internasional. Studi ini menggunakan metode sistem informasi geografis (SIG) yaitu berupa analisis overlay antara kondisi aktual dan perencanaan dari masing-masing indikator TOD. Indikator yang digunakan pada studi ini adalah jalur pejalan kaki, jalur sepeda, penggunaan lahan campuran, dan ruang terbuka hijau. Hasil studi ini menunjukkan bahwa kawasan TOD Dukuh Atas memiliki rencana jalur pejalan kaki, jalur sepeda, penggunaan lahan campuran, dan ruang terbuka hijau. Akan tetapi, kondisi aktual kawasan TOD Dukuh Atas menunjukkan bahwa jalur pejalan kaki, jalur sepeda, penggunaan lahan campuran, dan ruang terbuka hijau belum memenuhi kriteria kelayakan kawasan TOD karena belum sesuai dengan yang direncanakan. Oleh karena itu, studi ini memberikan beberapa rekomendasi pada penyempurnaan desain kawasan TOD berdasarkan indikator keberhasilan TOD di Kawasan TOD Dukuh Atas. Hal ini dikarenakan desain dan rancangan yang ada sulit untuk dilakukan mengingat kawasan TOD Dukuh Atas telah terbangun sebelumnya. TOD concept being popular in developed countries so that the indicators also lead to developed countries. However, the demand for urban development concept as TOD not only for developed countries but also for developing countries. This study intended to identify the reliable indicators of the TOD concept fo developing countries and to evaluate the existing development planning of TOD. This study conducted in The TOD of Dukuh Atas DKI Jakarta as an area directed to be the center of an international hub. This study employs Geographic Information System (GIS) methods that is an overlay analysis between actual and planning aspects of each indicator. The indicators employed in this study are the pedestrian path, the cycling path, the mix-landuse, and the green open space. However, the TOD of Dukuh Atas is yet to fulfill the eligibility criteria due to the incompatibility of its planning based on the actual conditions. Therefore, this study offering the recomendation in the improvement of the TOD design based on the reliable indicators of TOD in The TOD of Dukuh Atas. It is due to the current design and planning that are difficult to implement because The TOD of Dukuh Atas already built previously.
