Beamforming is considered as one of the most important enabling technologies for the fifth genera... more Beamforming is considered as one of the most important enabling technologies for the fifth generation of wireless communications (i.e 5G) and beyond networks as it compensates for the large path loss of the high frequencies in the millimeter wave (mmWave) band and the mid-band frequencies (i.e. the C-band or the 3.5GHz band). Waveform design, on the other hand, has been a hot topic of research to design new waveforms for 5G and beyond networks because of all the drawbacks of the traditional OFDM based waveforms. In this paper, we will combine these two major parts in the current and future communications networks together and test their performance. Several beamforming techniques and designs will be combined with several waveform designs and using a realistic pedestrian channel models and MIMO systems, and the results are compared and analysed.
