Outdoor cleaning is labour intensive and thus adds up to the overall employment cost of the institution, which is a bane. Through our waste accumulating robot, we look to address and automate the outdoor waste cleaning process, thus providing an efficient and tangible way of managing such a tedious task. We have a rover, fitted with a camera, thus guiding it around the designated area and avoiding obstacles; while the same camera is integrated with an arm via software for waste collection purpose. The rover is fitted with the arm, which is used to collect the garbage within its range. We use a bucket clamp as its end effector. A GPS (Global Positioning System) module shall guide the rover within the fore set cleaning range. To increase efficiency of collection and assimilation, the front part of the rover has a broom to accumulate the dirt as it moves. After a set distance the robotic arm shall pick the trash collected and place it in an overhead bin mounted on the rover. The whole process can be monitored remotely.

Everything what happens in the surroundings is the expression of flow of energy in one of the forms. But in this fast moving world, population is increasing day by day and conventional energy sources are lessening the extensive usage of energy has resulted in an energy crisis over the few years. Therefore to overcome this problem we need to implement the techniques of optimal utilization of conventional sources for conversation of energy. This project includes how to utilize the energy which is wasted when the vehicle passes over a speed breaker. Lots of energy is wasted when vehicles passes over a speed breaker as power generating unit. The kinetic energy of the moving vehicle s can be converted into mechanical energy. This paper attempts to show how energy can be produced, stored and used using the road transport pressure or any kind of pressure. The number of vehicles passing over the speed breaker in roads is increasing day by day. There is possibility of tapping the energy and generating power by making the speed breaker as a power generation unit. The generated power can be used for the lamps near the speed breakers and this will be a great boon for the rural villages too.

This performs better than other dewatering methods like sand drains, prefabricated vertical drains, vacuum dewatering, etc. In electrokinetic dewatering, low intensity direct current is applied across the soil layer through electrodes, thereby accelerating the flow due to changes in physio-chemical processes. In the present study, a series of laboratory experiments were performed on saturated clay collected from Lunawada region of Gujarat to study the effect of various parameters on electrokinetic dewatering. A water tight wooden box (40 cm × 40 cm × 30 cm) was used to perform the experiments. Hollow circular stainless steel tubes (length = 25 cm and inner diameter = 1.9 cm) were used as electrodes. Perforations with diameter of 5 mm were provided on electrodes at regular intervals to allow and collect water from surroundings during the experiments. Efficiency of electrokinetic dewatering was studied under variations of voltage, electrode spacing and pH. Water collected at cathode was removed manually from top at cathode, and the quantity was measured. The results confirm that dewatering efficiency increases with an increase in voltage as water flows under greater electric gradient at higher potential difference. The decrease in centre to centre spacing between anode and cathode causes overlapping of electric field which enhances dewatering efficiency. Decrease in pH of soil causes soil to be more acidic in nature that results in less dewatering efficiency. Further, cracking patterns near anode for each series of experiments was also studied to enhance the understanding of electrokinetic dewatering. It is confirmed from the experiments that electrokinetic dewatering is greatly influenced by voltage, electrode and pH. Other parameters like electrode pattern, type of soil, type of electrodes, etc., can also be evaluated for better understanding of electrokinetic dewatering.
