It clearly described it as an education that emphasised the acquisition of practical and manipulative skills in addition to the moral training for building a useful citizen. It continued with a step backward to the development of vocational education during the colonial and pre colonial era, during that time the type of skill acquired was not as systematic as that of today but was effective because it save the purpose it was meant for. Our formal system of skill acquisition today is critised for ineffectiveness. And was among the factors that were responsible for the failure of most government programmes aimed at either poverty reduction, job creation, wealth and employment generation etc. Lastly the paper discussed the problems that lead to the ineffectiveness of the skills acquired, that was tied around poor funding, and finally possible solutions to the problems was also discussed.

Silhouette and graphics forms of communication emanated as a result of the introduction of aesthetic education in the formal educational system. The development of silhouette and graphics as forms of communication has gone through different development stages. The study on the combination of silhouette and graphics as means of communication in public places is a concern in order to create modern awareness. The fast fading of this early but unique visual communication is not unconnected to the lack of availability of combining graphics with silhouette to pass information across. This study is an attempt to preserve silhouette and attention-arrest channel to appreciate the effort and showcase the work of Creative Art Lecturers, Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijagun, Ogun State. The study has adopted a combined methodology in both silhouette and graphics to achieve the objective. The study therefore recommended that government should value visual communication through silhouette and make extraordinary efforts to communicate effectively using graphics for the growth and sustainability of the society.

The main purpose of this study is to investigate the place, roles and prospect of vocational and technical education in the alleviation of poverty.
Vocational and technical education system is a system of education through which young men and women acquire skills, knowledge and abilities needed in an area of occupation.
Investigations have also shown that indisposition of parents, government and private individual towards the development of vocational and technical education was imbalance.

Creating identity is one of the difficult things to achieve as it involves painstaking planning, well-articulated decisions, concerted efforts, precision steps and productive collaborations. Since the time of industrial evolution; industries have been battling with not only how to uniquely create their distinctive corporate identities but how to sustain them. This can be supported and substantiated by the scenarios of brands highlighted in the course of this research work, which is designed to give insight to the reader on appreciating the contributions of promoting corporate identity through branding with graphics to modern organizations particularly their various departments. This project therefore executed branding of rechargeable fan through graphic design as a strategy to promote the corporate of Creative Arts Department of TASUED.
The method adopted in the course of this research was a practical method of computer graphic design and a screen-print of a product with a well designed crested logo on a computer system to show-case corporate identity of the department in focus. The research concluded that as it is easier to attain corporate identity than to sustain it; Corporate organizations have been struggling desperately to create and maintain their corporate identity. When it is subtly created, to promote it through branding using graphics is another herculean task corporate organizations are wrestling with.

The plant oils are majorly extracted from nuts and seeds which are good sources of oil and they are commercially available.
Essential oils are composed of a wide range of bioactive chemical compounds. They traditionally found application as flavour, fragrances and medicinal aroma. Today, the essential oils are sought-after for innumerable applications starting from markers for plant identifications to base for semi-synthesis of highly complex molecules.
Oil was extracted from the seeds of Lagenaria sphaerica (bottle gourd) using two extraction process (soxhlet and microwave). The physicochemical properties of bottle gourd seed oil were determined. The colour of the oil was golden yellow. The acid value obtained for soxhlet and microwave were 8.41 mgNaOH/g, and 9.48, 9.42 mgNaOH/g; also the free fatty acid value for the soxhlet and microwave extraction were17.40mgNaOH/g and 13.74mgNaOH/g, 17.11mgNaOH/g for bottle gourd oil respectively. The fatty acid from the GC-MS analysis were n-hexadecanoic acid, tetradenoic acid, linoelaidic, tridecanoic, octadecanoic and 9,12-octadecanoic acids. The 9,12-octadecadienoic is the most abundance of all the acid both in soxhlet and microwave with percentage maximum of 65.67% and 20.251% . All the oils were pale yellow in colour and liquids at room temperature. The results obtained from the physicochemical characterization of the oils shows that Lagenaria sphaerica seed oil compares favourably with the other oils and has high potentials for use both as domestic oil and as industrial oil.
Keywords: bottle gourd, lagenaria spaerica, GC-MC, Oil, Physicochemical.
