It is also known as remembering. We as humans have the power to store memories and react to them by laughing, crying, or by getting embarrassed. Some things remind us of some important lessons and some memories related to it. After some ages, humans tend to forget things and the memories become blur and then faint away. During this time elements or stationary objects help folks to recollect their memories by looking at that element. In other words, the goal of memory is to leave you with a coherent story of what happened. The elements can be architectural, natural, digital etc. There is one such Architectural element where my grandma stays, since she owns a housing society that her ancestors built and there is a raised platform in that open forecourt. By Looking at it grandma recollects that period and remembers the day it was built and who all built it and the close ones who sat there. In other words, it creates that ambiance and helps the person to take a break from the daily life activities and float on that image that had been created by that element. Architecture brings memories of societies, cultures, and people who have lived long ago. It's a succinct explanation of how old places-our homes, libraries, schools, barns, and parks seem to hold and embody our memories. History of Architecture enables us to understand the period and gives the gist of what must have been the Culture, environment, folks, etc. during those periods. Looking at old heritage structures our brain recalls all the memories and read things in books, journals, newspapers about that structure and try to relate them with the structures. Some of the examples of structure carrying memories are The Raigad Fort which has a glorious and mesmerizing memories of hope, bravery and sacrifice of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and The Lincoln Memorial and the Reflecting Pool remind people of shared memories of national events. The memory of a certain place is saved in different images due to the differences in interests between people. Not only the old heritage structure but also those elements which are old enough carry memories like the old doors made from timber, Tulsi Vrindavan, and the old threshold in old Indian villages. The relationship between memories and Architecture always exists as an intimacy but in a relative appearance. Depending on-the culture and the environment where the person has been raised and grew up, the scale of the viewer while encoding the memory image., Emotions during the encoding. Interests of the viewer, Experience of the viewer. Architecture is a linking mechanism between the past and present. "Old buildings are like memories you can touch," the architect Mary Deandai tells her granddaughter.

Various factors affect the safety of women while accessing or using sanitation facilities in slums. These factors are related to the infrastructure of toilet blocks, the location of the toilet, the route to the toilet, timings of toilet use, and the number of toilets. Most of the women face sexual abuse or rape while visiting or using toilets or due to open defecation. The study found that most cases of violence or crime against women are due to a lack of lighting in and on the route to access sanitation and water facilities, lack of access to the toilet block, as well as the dangerous location of PTs (Public Toilets) and CTCs (Common toilet complexes). This paper is an attempt to solve problems related to women's safety while accessing or using basic water sanitation facilities.
