Digital competencies are one of the main transversal competencies of the XXI century. By means of... more Digital competencies are one of the main transversal competencies of the XXI century. By means of systematic mapping, international published papers and research on digital skills training were critically evaluated, generating a process that helps us to recognize information about health professionals and the type of educational technology used in training. With this in mind, we employed the systematic mapping method using the WoS and Scopus databases between 2015 and 2019 in English and Spanish, specifically focused on research articles. The five competencies of the European Framework of Digital Competence were used to analyze the articles, and the works were classified according to the educational technology used. Inclusion, exclusion, and quality criteria were applied. Two hundred and forty-eight articles were selected for the study. Internet ha transformado la forma en la que las bibliotecas de ciencias de la salud ofrecen infor... more Internet ha transformado la forma en la que las bibliotecas de ciencias de la salud ofrecen informacion a los profesionales y ciudadanos y ha dado lugar a un debate sobre las funciones y competencias que las bibliotecas deben desempenar en el siglo XXI. El rol del bibliotecario clinico como formador esta jugando un papel relevante como experto en el manejo de la informacion, de los canales y de los flujos de informacion. En el area de Gestion Sanitaria Este de Malaga se realizo un diagnostico sobre habitos de lectura y escritura de los profesionales del area de Salud. Se detecto un uso deficiente de las herramientas, los recursos, los canales de difusion y la distribucion de la informacion. Para corregir estas carencias, se diseno un programa formativo para la consecucion de las competencias digitales basicas propuestas en el Horizonte 2020 de la Union Europea sobre Competencias Digitales. Abstract The twenty-first century has brought about deep changes in the ways to communicate (1). ... more Abstract The twenty-first century has brought about deep changes in the ways to communicate (1). The amount of information generated and spread through the Internet, the different ways to access, disseminate and make it known are in the origin of the new relationships between authors, editors, readers and information administrators (2). These changes have affected people both in their individual relationships and in the roles played by them (3, 4). The Virtual Library of the Andalusian Public Health Service was created in 2006 and, since then, the resources and services are accessible from any Internet-connected device. To know the competence of the RMI in the use of the digital information. A descriptive research was implemented through the use of a questionnaire provided to the RMI belonging to the specialty of Family and Community Medicine, Internal Medicine, Traumatology and Orthopedics. Some of the items included in the questionnaire: the type of publications consulted, the reading frequency, reading on the web, the types of informative sources, the personal bibliography management, the reading devices used, frequency of books purchase, type of virtual area to purchase e-books, frequency of critical reading programmed from the teaching unit, presence in social networks, types of profile in the social networks and dissemination of the contents on the web 2.0. The results show the digital reading habits in this group of professionals, who were born in the 80s and 90s (twentieth century). The RMI use the mobile technology to access the information but they don't know, to a large extent, the scientific reading and writing utilities and specific tools in the field of medicine and health sciences. Some skilled users, like the RMI, need a specific training which enables them to manage competently the information and the group of technologies and mediation procedures used in the process of research, management, operation, generation, editing, distribution and dissemination of information.N

On the one hand, its importance in the fields of Social Science and Humanities tends to move towards other forms of representation, basically research articles, and on the other hand, its visibility is increasingly conditioned by factors inherent in the digital environment. On the basis of these assumptions, a study on the context of scientific monographs in the systems of assessment and institutional accreditation of research has been conducted, taking as references the research requirements for the accreditation of the different faculty figures and those for obtaining "the six-year research periods".
