Battlefield 6 Delays Season 2 to Tackle Fan Feedback - IGN Daily Fix

1 month - In today's Daily Fix:Battlefield Studios is delaying the launch of Battlefield 6 Season 2 to address community feedback. Fans have previously complained about the lack of updates and content in Season 1, so the team is taking extra time to work on Season 2, which will now drop on February 17. In other news, Ninja Theory is reportedly working on a new Hellblade game, this one meant to be more of a 'game' that the previous two. While Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2 was praised for its story and visuals, many complained there wasn't much of a game to actually play. And finally, scalpers are already selling pre-orders for the recently-announced LEGO Pokémon sets for hundreds more than the MSRP. Of particular value is the gym badge set, which is only included with the nearly $700 Charizard-Venusaur-Blastoise set.

New Xbox Ad Says You Don't Need an Xbox - IGN Daily Fix

1 year, 7 months - In today's Daily Fix: Microsoft released a new ad reminding gamers that you don't actually need an Xbox to play Xbox games. The ad features the Amazon Fire TV stick, with which you can launch Xbox Game Pass and play Game Pass games via the cloud and a bluetooth controller. It's not a new feature, but this seems to be part of an initiative to get people into the Xbox ecosystem without having to worry about a four-hundred-dollar console (just a monthly subscription to Game Pass Ultimate). But it may have some gamers worried that Microsoft is leaving consoles behind. In related news, one of the year's biggest Xbox titles, Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2, wasn't exactly the smash hit Microsoft was hoping for. The game received very positive reviews, but failed to make the top 10 in games sold in its release month of May. And finally, two Elden Ring players have found a new way to absolutely embarrass Malenia.

Senua's Saga: Hellblade II Video Review

1 year, 8 months - Senua's Saga: Hellblade II reviewed by Tristan Ogilvie on Xbox Series X. Also available on Xbox Series S and PC. "Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II delivers a spellbinding adventure packed with cinematic spectacle and story surprises that maintains a surging sense of forward momentum and never wastes a second of its slender run time. Its combat manages to feel consistently intimidating and immediate despite its mechanical simplicity, and its perspective-based puzzles regularly scratch cerebral itches even though they largely rehash or rework concepts from Senua’s previous story. A journey as brutal as it is beautiful delivered with hardware-pushing visuals and persistently absorbing audio, Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II is another Viking-worthy feast for the senses that meets the high bar set by its predecessor, even if it never really manages to clear it."
