1 month, 1 week - After more than a year in early access, Hades 2 finally hit version 1.0 last September on PC, Nintendo Switch, and Switch 2. And because it spent so long evolving before full release, the game you can play today is very different from its original 2024 soft launch.From major gameplay tuning and new weapon aspects to an entirely new surface route that takes Melinoe all the way to Mount Olympus, Supergiant Games has steadily expanded and refined Hades 2 both before and after its 1.0 launch. If you bounced off early access, or haven’t checked in since, there’s a lot you’ve missed.

4 months, 2 weeks - Hades II flips the formula established by the first game, and sees Melinoe travelling down to the underworld, rather than travelling up through it. However, right by the doorway out of the Crossroads is… another path. One that leads up. Traveling to the surface is an important part of the story in Hades II, but unlocking this alternate pathway is a process shrouded in obscurity, so we’re here to show you how to reach (and then survive) the surface in Hades 2.

Players will fight through the Underworld once more as the Princess of the Underworld. Attain new weapons and abilities from run to run and meet the Gods of Greek Myth from Apollo to Zeus. Hades 2 is available now for Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC.

4 months, 3 weeks - Check out the first 15 minutes of Hades II running on the Nintendo Switch 2, captured in 4K at 60FPS. Supergiant Games’ follow-up to their award-winning roguelike takes players deeper into the underworld with new weapons, new powers, and a fresh protagonist in Melinoe.These opening moments highlight the story setup, early cutscenes, and the first glimpses of combat and exploration. You’ll also see some of the new underworld areas, plus an introduction to upgrades and mechanics that set the sequel apart from the original.

10 months, 2 weeks - The popular roguelike Hades 2 will bring its randomized battles through Greek Mythology to the Nintendo Switch 2 in 2025.
