My Hero One's Justice 2 Review

5 years, 11 months - My Hero One's Justice 2 reviewed on PlayStation 4 by Suriel Vazquez, also available Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch. This My Hero Academia-themed fighting game sequel touches up some of the nuances of the original's combat and builds an impressive roster, but doesn't bring its A-game when it comes to offering much beyond a few good matches.

Nioh 2 Review

5 years, 11 months - The sequel to Team Ninja's excellent blend of the action and Souls-like genres is here, and it succeeds as a wonderful evolution of everything that the first game did right, even though it's many systems can sometimes slow the otherwise blistering pace. One-Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows Review

5 years, 11 months - One-Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows reviewed by Kyle Hilliard on Xbox One X. Also available on PlayStation 4 and PC. Narration by Max Scoville. "The premise of One-Punch Man shouldn't work. If the main protagonist has infinite power and can defeat any enemy in one punch, how can that create a compelling story with stakes and danger? Where is the drama? And how can that possibly translate to a video game? Power fantasies are fun to control, but doesn't absolute power get boring? The answer in the source material is to turn the whole story into a comedy that plays with the cliches established by decades of action anime, and it works well. The answer in One-Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows is to let you control Saitama, the titular One-Punch Man, only sparingly, and it does not work as well. But there are still some fun ideas peppered throughout." Read the full extended text review on IGN.com.
