What is FediMeteo?

FediMeteo is an innovative project that brings local weather updates directly to the Fediverse. Each Indian city has a dedicated account that regularly shares current weather conditions and forecasts.

Technical Details

FediMeteo uses Open-Meteo to obtain accurate weather data and automatically publishes updates on the Fediverse. Our system ensures that each city receives unique weather updates in a timely manner.

Thanks to snac, a lightweight but powerful social platform compatible with the ActivityPub protocol (popularized by Mastodon), it is possible to follow the weather of each city through its account, regardless of your instance, as well as through RSS feeds. Or by directly visiting each city's web page.

This project is powered by Python scripts and the open standards of the Fediverse, allowing for seamless integration for users.
