ImageConverter Plus can batch-convert any number of image files between all the most widely used formats, including BMP, JPG, GIF, TGA, TIFF, PCX, and PDF. Besides, the program offers an extensive list of editing functions, together with EXIF and IPTC tag support.

Its nice-to-look-at interface is not so nice to navigate, though. However, this does not mean that its functionality is inferior to that offered by other more navigable applications. The main difference is in the way the information about the different options is presented – most programs will open different windows or panels for each of the various functions they provide, while ImageConverter Plus “appends” this information to the program’s Profile tab in the main window. Each time to select one of the program’s editing options, new text is added at the bottom of the page, which remains hidden unless you scroll down to find it. This allows you to combine and apply simultaneously any number of features to the images on the conversion list – which you can find in the Images tab – but it also may make the entire process cumbersome and sometimes even confusing.

However, this minor inconvenience does not detract anything from the program’s efficiency as a competitive image editor and converter. Image files can be easily selected for conversion in the Images tab, where you can add individual files, full folders, and even paste files directly from the clipboard. Here you can preview any of the selected images and gather information about them. In the Profile tab you will find not only a few but useful output profiles (to which you can add your own), but also an interesting list of editing features. These include rotation, image cropping, mirror, brightness and contrast adjustment, color profiles, color replacement, watermark support, and an EXIF/IPTC metadata editor. You can apply any combination of these features to all the images on the conversion list, which will certainly save you processing time. Note, however, that due to the program’s innovative interface design, you will be allowed to select the same function for the same conversion process more than once, which may end up in unwanted or unexpected conversion results.

Modern cameras with more megapixels produce larger photos. We aren't talking about a couple of megabytes or even several dozen megabytes (a piece of cake for Image Converter Plus). We're talking about really HUGE files several gigabytes in size. The new Image Converter Plus 8.0 eats them up! This is the kind of feature business users were waiting for. Now you can work easily with big multipage TIFF files or aerospace photos.
