It was revealed to the prophet Muhammad (SAW) by Allah (SWT) in order to guide all human beings and bring them from darkness to the light and gather them all under the one umbrella. Several Ahadith (narrations) underscore that learning and teachings al-Qur'an has been highly encouraged by our beloved prophet (SAW). Learning and teachings al-Quran can be at individual as well as institutional level. At institutional level, two prestigious Islamic higher educational institutions in the world Namely, International Islamic University, Malaysia (IIUM) and International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) have been contributing significant role in order to not only teach but also preserve and promote the noble message of al-Quran among the youths over the last three decades. However, there is no comprehensive study to highlight the contributions of these two institutions in this regard. Using analytical and descriptive research methods, this paper, therefore, will explore and indicate how IIUM and IIUI contribute to Qura'nic teachings, preservation and promotion of its message to the student as well as to the society. In addition, this study will also compare the contributions of Qur’anic teaching and preservation between these two institutions.
