Administered to a diverse sample of 320 collegiate participants, the DPSS-24 yielded robust internal consistency reliability (Cronbach's alpha > .80) and evinced a structurally coherent factor model congruent with theoretical underpinnings. Moreover, the scale exhibited commendable convergent and discriminant validity, manifesting significant associations with cognate constructs while maintaining distinctiveness from unrelated measures. Notably, criterion-related validity analyses underscored the scale's prognostic prowess, substantiating its capacity to prognosticate pertinent outcomes indicative of subclinical psychopathy. Noteworthy as well, test-retest reliability coefficients bespeak the scale's temporal stability. In summation, the DPSS-24 emerges as a dependable and valid instrument, poised to facilitate nuanced inquiries into subclinical psychopathic traits within non-clinical milieus, thereby enriching our comprehension of psychopathy's manifestations.

Some psychologists have criticized the theory for being based on only a few negative factors and including only three traits. The theory also has some mixed options of being based on gender and cultural biases. The study of human behavior is a complex process, and understanding human behavior across various cultures, genders, and ethics is necessary. This research is based on the three distinct but correlated traits that are considered negative in social life. These socially unacceptable traits occur in a spectrum so this research tries to measure these traits from a modern perspective. Modern perspective regarding psychopathy, narcissism, and Machiavellianism is different from what was considered in the past. People with psychopathy were considered dangerous to society, but in modern perspectives, all individuals with psychopathic traits do not pose a threat. The beautiful part of human nature is that it is evolving and it adjusts to the norms and ethics of society. The goal of this research is to measure these traits in an individual which are subclinical and in a spectrum and to provide a valuable instrument for accurately measuring negative behavioral traits without differentiating between gender, culture, and social perspectives.
