
Lee Wells
Wells is an artist, exhibition organizer and consultant currently living and working New York. His artwork and research primarily questions systems of power and control and has been exhibited internationally for over 15 years, including including the 51 st La Biennale Di Venezia, National Center for Contemporary Art Moscow, Kimpo/Seoul International Airport, WRO07 XII Media Biennial, PS1/MoMA, Cincinnati Contemporary Arts Center, Museo d'arte Moderna e Contemporanea di Trento e Rovereto (MART), 2nd Moscow Biennial and State Hermitage Museum, in addition to numerous art fairs, festivals and galleries.
He is a co-founder and director of IFAC-arts, an alternative exhibition and organizational program for artists and curators, since 1996. He is also co-founder of [PAM] (www.perpetualartmachine.com), a member of Artists Meeting Arts Collective (www.artistsmeeting.org), and a co-founder of Peanut Underground Art Projects (www.peanutunderground.com)

His projects and exhibitions have been written about by various national and international art and news publications to include: The New York Times, American Library Association, Yale University Library, Kommersant, Art Newspaper, The Washington Post, Art in America, Artchronika, Flavorpill and Art Net.
Wells has presented and lectured on art, media and politics since 1996 at numerous institutions and universities including: Princeton University, New York University, School of Visual Arts, Museum of Fine Arts Boston, University of Georgia, Chelsea Art Museum, Ural State University (Ekaterinburg, RU), Rodchenko School (Moscow), University of Illinois and Art Basel Miami Beach and Scope Art Shows.
Prior to attending the University of Illinois (1993-1997), Wells actively served in the United States Army, 3rd Infantry Division, First Brigade, 3/64 Armor Battalion, B Company as a Lieutenant's M1-A1 Tank Specialist, Platoon Combat Medic and Battalion Artist (1990-1993).
