Subtasks

Tasks can have subtasks. This allows you to monitor the execution of the subtask directly from the main task, delete it, or convert it into a separate task.

Subtasks allow you to add one more “Responsible” to the task (delegation).

Subtasks are also a modernized alternative to checklists.

Subtasks have a one-way relationship with the main task.

How to add subtask?

  1. Go to the task to which you need to add a subtask.
  2. Click the “Add Subtask” button in the “Subtasks” section 1️⃣.

3. In the provided fields, enter the Subtask Name, select the status, responsible person, and priority.

4. After verifying the entered data, click the ☑️ to create the subtask or the ✖️ to cancel.

5. The subtask will be displayed in the task where it was created. In the row, you will see the subtask name, status, responsible person, as well as options to delete the subtask and convert it into a regular task.

By default, subtasks are hidden in the main task table on the “Tasks” page in the workspace. To view them, click on the downward arrow:

How to enter, open a subtask

To access a subtask (for tracking, adding time, editing, etc.), click on the link on the “Tasks” page in the general list or in the main task that is associated with this subtask (click on the link or the subtask name).

Subtasks have limited functionality that differs from regular tasks.
