IE Tab Helper is a companion application for the IE Tab browser extension that enables Internet Explorer compatibility inside modern Chromium-based browsers. It embeds the legacy IE engine so you can open older, IE‑only websites and web apps—such as those requiring ActiveX or Silverlight—directly in a normal tab, without launching a separate browser.

Key features:

• Runs legacy, IE‑dependent sites inside Chrome or other Chromium‑based browsers
• Supports IE document modes (e.g., IE7–IE11) for maximum compatibility
• Enables technologies like ActiveX and Silverlight where present
• Provides the native bridge needed for reliable downloads and authentication flows
