Ok, so it works. Seems people I'm following just haven't said a word in a while. It was very lonely seeing only my own notices. Awfully quiet. Especially considering how vibrant and active Identi.ca had been before the transition.
But then, I followed @evan (wasn't very easy to find, since pump.io doesn't appear to have a search functionality, as of this writing), and now his post appeared in my time line.
So Identi.ca transitioned from a micro-blogging service to just blogging service. Seems I now have a blog. Wow, that escalated quickly...
I don't know if I will be using the blogging functionality much often. I will fool around a bit to see what's what, but probably stick to following other people and reading what's interests me (does that make me kind of a stalker?), which is what I've been doing on Identi.ca anyway most of the time...
