This study examined the effects of direct transformer facilities on the network of medium voltage... more This study examined the effects of direct transformer facilities on the network of medium voltage failures that can be caused by parafudr by using regional data and type project modeling. The plant, which is modeled first, has been checked to comply with the relevant regulations and regulations. Konya Eregli region was selected as the working zone in 2018 with 1952 pole type transformer plant and 2187 in 2019. The network worked was modeled with dpPower program and was intended to minimize accrual loss and plant repair costs due to parafudr failures. The total cost of failure, which was 1.370.444,54 ₺, in 2018, increased to 2.024.613,93 ₺ in 2019. Increasing failure costs each year are intended to be minimal after the proposed overhaul. Improvements made after modeling have prevented 88 subscribers from being energy-free from 89 subscribers fed on the line and increased customer satisfaction.
Objective: Throughout the coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic, it is critical to look at the impact... more Objective: Throughout the coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic, it is critical to look at the impact of high levels of worry and stress on people's cognitive health. This study examines the relationship between anxiety, despair, and perception of threat as coronavirus disease 2019 distress and cognitive failures. Methods: The sample of the study consisted of 818 people aged between 18 and 81 years. Structural equation modeling was carried out to reveal the existing relationships. In addition, demographic variables that predict cognitive failures during the coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic period are expressed in the simple linear regression analysis. Finally, an independent samples t-test was applied according to gender for anxiety, despair, perception of threat, cognitive failures, perception, attention, forgetting, and motor functioning. Results: The results obtained from the structural equation modeling show that the coronavirus disease 2019 distress latent variables (anxiety, despair, and perception of threat) predict perception, attention, forgetting, and motor functioning during the pandemic period. It was found that cognitive failures were predicted by age, gender, educational status, media exposure, having a chronic disease, and compliance with hygiene rules. Conclusion: In cognitive failures total score, perception, forgetting, attention, and motor functioning men exhibit more cognitive failures than women during the pandemic period. Women have higher anxiety and perception of threat scores than men.

A critical review of the literature findings reveals the existence of two types of gamma responses: an early gamma that fulfills sensory functions and a late gamma that fulfills perceptual᎐cognitive functions. However, even the early gamma shows individual differences. Such a finding points to the existence of top-down influences on sensory processes and to a parallel-processing model for brain function.
Impulsive buying is considered to be an emotional and unplanned decision-making behaviour. Becaus... more Impulsive buying is considered to be an emotional and unplanned decision-making behaviour. Because this type of purchasing rate has fairly increased in recent years, examining the determinants of impulsive buying is important to understand which intervention programs should be designed. In the current study, it was aimed to develop a model in which impulsive buying tendency is predicted by variables such as personality traits, affect and cognitive factors (problem solving skills and cognitive flexibility). Overall, 300 young adults (198 female and 102 male), took part in the study. The mean age of the participants for the current study was as 21.29 years (SD=2.95). Impulsive buying tendency, personality traits, affect, problem solving skills and cognitive flexibility variables were measured via Consumer Buying Impulsivity Scale (CBI), Behavioural Inhibition/Activation System Scales (BIS/BAS), Positive and Negative Affect Scale (PANAS), Problem Solving Inventory (PSI) and Cognitive Flexibility Scale (CFI), respectively. The results indicated that personality traits in the behavioral activation system (reward system) could be an important determinant of impulsive buying tendency when examined together with other variables. In sum, high reward responsiveness may result in impulsive buying. Furthermore, affective factors (both negative and positive affect) rather than cognitive factors may be a triggering factor for impulsive buying.

The aim of this study was to clarify the link between five factor personality traits and executiv... more The aim of this study was to clarify the link between five factor personality traits and executive functions. Method: A total of 100 healthy participants, 59 female and 41 male, participated in the study. The data was analyzed performing Pearson moment correlation coefficients and Structural Equation Model (SEM). Results: Three models were constituted and the first model revealed a significant relationship between personality characteristics and executive functions. The second and the third models indicated that personality-executive functions relations are based on the correlation between openness to experience and shifting executive function measured by Wisconsin Card Sorting Test (WCST). Results indicated that there is a significant positive relationship between openness to experience and WCST perseverative scores. In addition, there was no correlation between openness to experience and fluid intelligence. Conclusion: According to the results of this study, it can be suggested that high openness may be characterized by high perseverative thinking rather than intellect.

IQ Up Cognitive Development Method is a cognitive training program. Current research stands as the continuity of a previous empirical study. The research includes 74 healthy participants between 10-12 age group. In present study participants have received 8 neuropsychological tests 3 rd times measuring cognitive processes such as attention, problem solving, and general competency. Participants' pretest neuropsychological test scores before receiving IQ Up Cognitive Development Method training and 3 rd posttest neuropsychological test scores received 11months later by the participants after the training have been compared. Statistical analysis reports revealed that there is a significant differentiation between pretest and 3 rd posttest score averages. As a cognitive training program, IQ Up Cognitive Development Method has affected cognitive process developments of the participants in a positive and long-term manner.
In this study, problem solving regarded within cognitive psychological literature and the relatio... more In this study, problem solving regarded within cognitive psychological literature and the relationship of cognitive stages of problem solving with various cognitive processes is studied in a theoretical frame. In the study the pattern of problem solving with reasoning, attention, working memory, planning, making strategy and relation pattern is tried to be explained with a model. Method: The study is composed of two stages. In the first stage, RSPM: Raven Standard Progressive Matrices (RSPM) was applied to the subjects. In this first stage subjects are expected to write down the mental stage they perform while solving the test substances in the RSPM test. In the second stage 6 neuropsychological tests were applied on the subjects who are university students. Findings: Findings of the study were analyzed by using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). Discussion and Conclusion: Two dimensional models were tried to be formed in order to explain the relation pattern of neuropsychological tests among each other. In this model the first dimension shows the problem solving stages within mental processes of a healthy person; the second stage shows the relationship between problem solving, reasoning, abstract thinking, and selective attention, continuous attention, working memory, planning and making strategy. Findings were discussed under the light of related literature.

Ölçeğin psikometrik özellikleri, katılımcıların üniversite öğrencisi olduğu örneklem gruplarında belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Gereç ve Yöntemler: Ölçeğin dil geçerliğini sınamak için 88, yapı ve ölçüt geçerliği ile güvenirliğini belirlemek için 605 katılımcı araştırmaya katılmıştır. Katılımcıların yaşları 16-31 arasında değişmiş, yaş ortalaması 21.93 (SS=2.47) olan, 383 kadın ve 219 erkek araştırmaya dahil olmuştur. YİÖ'nün psikometrik özelliklerini belirlemek amacıyla, açımlayıcı faktör analizi, doğrusal (linear) regresyon analizi, Pearson korelasyon katsayısı, ttesti ve Cronbach Alpha iç tutarlılık katsayısı hesaplanmıştır. Bulgular: YİÖ'nün ölçüt geçerliğini belirlemek amacıyla katılımcılara aynı zamanda Frontal Sistem Davranış Envanteri, Barratt Dürtüsellik Ölçeği Kısa Formu, Kişilerarası Tepkisellik İndeksi uygulanmıştır. Yapı geçerliği için gerçekleştirilen açımlayıcı faktör analizi bulguları, orijinal YİÖ ile aynı sayıda alt testler olduğunu göstermiş, Türkçe formun Cronbach Alpha güvenirlik katsayıları. 54 ile 76 arasında değişmiştir. Ölçeğin alt testleri impuls kontrol, stratejik planlama, organizasyon, empati ve motivasyonel dürtü olarak belirlenmiştir. Doğrusal regresyon analizi sonuçları, yaşın toplam puanı anlamlı olarak yordadığını gösterirken, cinsiyet toplam puanı anlamlı olarak yordamamış, t-testi analizi sonuçları ise cinsiyetin sadece impuls kontrol ve empati alt testlerinde anlamlı olduğunu ve orta etki büyüklüğüne sahip olduğunu göstermiştir. Ölçüt geçerliğini belirlemek amacıyla yapılan Pearson korelasyon katsayısı analizi sonuçları, büyük oranda anlamlı olmuştur. Sonuç: Elde edilen bulgular, ölçeğin orijinal formu ile benzerlik göstermiştir. The measurements were measured using a portable gamma scintillation detector that was sensitive to detection of radiation emitted by low-activity radionuclides descending with fallout along with natural gamma radiation measurements. In this study, the arithmetic average of gamma dose level measurements in Adana province and its surroundings was found to be 71.2 (nGy /h). This value corresponds to the mean effective dose equivalent of 87.3 μSv /y. The obtained results were compared to studies conducted in different regions of Turkey and the world average.

It is thought that reducing the cognitive errors of individuals affected by anxiety during psycho... more It is thought that reducing the cognitive errors of individuals affected by anxiety during psychological treatment is important for reducing cognitive errors in areas such as focusing and memory in daily life. In this study, it was aimed to examine the mediation effect of cognitive control and coping flexibility on emotions in the relationship between Covid-19-related anxiety and cognitive status, via the structural equation model. The participants of the study consisted of 585 people, 245 male and 351 female. The age range was 18-64 and the mean age of the participants was 32.08 (SS= 10.92). Covid19 Distress Scale, Cognitive Failures Scale and Cognitive Control and Flexibility Scale were used. For the mediation analysis, Hayes' (2014) Model 4 was analyzed using Process Macro in SPSS. As a result of the analysis, it was found that cognitive control mediated the relationship between Covid-19 anxiety and cognitive errors. It is thought that the results of the current study may play an important role in reducing anxiety and cognitive errors by studying the cognitive flexibility and control skills of individuals and will contribute to the planning of health policies and necessary individual interventions.

It is thought that reducing the cognitive errors of individuals affected by anxiety during psycho... more It is thought that reducing the cognitive errors of individuals affected by anxiety during psychological treatment is important for reducing cognitive errors in areas such as focusing and memory in daily life. In this study, it was aimed to examine the mediation effect of cognitive control and coping flexibility on emotions in the relationship between Covid-19-related anxiety and cognitive status, via the structural equation model. The participants of the study consisted of 585 people, 245 male and 351 female. The age range was 18-64 and the mean age of the participants was 32.08 (SS= 10.92). Covid19 Distress Scale, Cognitive Failures Scale and Cognitive Control and Flexibility Scale were used. For the mediation analysis, Hayes' (2014) Model 4 was analyzed using Process Macro in SPSS. As a result of the analysis, it was found that cognitive control mediated the relationship between Covid-19 anxiety and cognitive errors. It is thought that the results of the current study may play an important role in reducing anxiety and cognitive errors by studying the cognitive flexibility and control skills of individuals and will contribute to the planning of health policies and necessary individual interventions.

Because this type of purchasing rate has fairly increased in recent years, examining the determinants of impulsive buying is important to understand which intervention programs should be designed. In the current study, it was aimed to develop a model in which impulsive buying tendency is predicted by variables such as personality traits, affect and cognitive factors (problem solving skills and cognitive flexibility). Overall, 300 young adults (198 female and 102 male), took part in the study. The mean age of the participants for the current study was as 21.29 years (SD=2.95).
