Being a member of the IBEW Local 120 has been an invaluable experience. From the work experience variety to the extensive training opportunities, I’ve found a supportive community and a pathway to grow both personally and professionally. Proud to be part of an organization dedicated to excellence in the electrical industry.

Joining the IBEW in Local 120 has been the best decision of my career. Everything my family and I have today is in large part due to being a member of the IBEW. Since I started with the IBEW I have experienced support, mentorship, camaraderie and advocacy for worker’s rights.

I haven’t always been apart of the union in my electrical career. I started my apprenticeship in a small non-unionized shop in Strathroy ON. Although it was an overall good experience and gave me the opportunity to start my electrical apprenticeship, the benefits of joining the union far outweigh what my career and personal life would’ve looked like had I stayed in the non-unionized sector.

Through collective bargaining, I earn an industry leading wage, great benefits, excellent retirement, endless opportunities as well as the best safety and skills training.

Being a part of Local 120 has given me encouragement to stand up for what is right for not only myself as an individual but for my fellow worker’s as well.

Together we stand stronger and share the common goal to increase the quality of life for all of the working class and society as a whole.
