Materials and methods: The study was carried out with 12 week-old male rats (N =24) were divided into untrained and trained groups. Endurance training consisted of treadmill running at a speed of 25 m/min for 1 h/day and 10% uphill grade 5 days a week for 8 weeks. To see the effects of endurance training on acute exhaustive exercise induced oxidative stress, untrained and trained rats were further divided into two groups: animals killed at rest and those killed after acute exhaustive exercise, in which the rats run at 30 m/min (10% uphill) until exhaustion. Results: After a single bout of exhaustive treadmill running, malondialdehyde level in untrained and trained rats were significantly increased, but were significantly lower in the trained group. Conclusions: The results suggested that single bout of exhaustive treadmill exercise may induce liver damage and endurance training attenuated exercise-induced oxidative stress in liver after a single bout of exhaustive treadmill running, probably by reinforced of antioxidant defense system during exercise.

Materials and Methods: We evaluated 128 patients who had undergone anterior shoulder instability surgery at least 4 years ago in our centre based on pain, apprehension and range of motion of both shoulders. Pain was assessed with visual analogue scale, apprehension by physical examination and range of motion with goniometer. We divided them into three groups based on their treatment: (1) Bankart repair, (2) Bankart remplissage and (3) Laterjet procedure. Results: There were 34 patients with Bankart repair, 68 with Bankart remplissage and 26 with Latarjet procedure. The mean of follow-up time was 6.2 years. There was only one re-dislocation. Apprehension was positive in two patients of Bankart repair, eight patients of Bankart remplissage and none of Latarjet procedure groups. The movement limitation average of the external rotation was 9.12° in Bankart repair, 7° in Bankart rempilssage and 18.53° in Latarjet procedure groups. The means of visual analogue scales were 0.29, 0.76, and 0.38 in Bankart repair, Bankart remplissage and Latarjet procedure groups. Conclusion: All operations had had satisfactory results. Remplissage does not induce more restriction on the range of motion. However, in case of more bone loss in the humeral head, apprehension seems to be more positive in those who do remplissage. Latarjet procedure seems to be very effective but causes more range of motion restrictions.

Methods: The study comprised of 90 male students who were classified into 3 groups as EMS (n=30), RT (n=30) and Control (n=30). Anthropometric measurements, blood lipids levels were analyzed. Results: Analyses of WHR and body weight in 3 groups after 16 week exercise reveal that RT was more effective to decrease WHR and body weight. Conclusion: Overweight and Obesity is the important problem in the new era. Effects of new and advanced exercise protocols and positive effect of decreasing WHR and body weight may help reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases in the young population.

The purpose of this study was the importance of applying Kinesio tape (KT) in relieving the pain in athletes' ankles using Y balance test and star. Methods. 22 male athletes with average age of 22.33±1.37 were discussed with and without Kinesio tape. At first athletes didn't use kinesiology tape on their deltoid ligament and did the (Y) balance test in 3 directions, then star twirling test (SEBT) in 8 directions that focused on the center of one plexus. These tests were repeated 3 times and all the stages of them were recovered after 24 hours and then the tests done on a pad and on a solid surface. Results. Athletes in both tests on a soft pad experienced a high pressure on their muscles according to the position of their leg in plantar and dorsiflexion state;and they couldn't finish the test. Conclusion. The test showed that the Kinesio tape on a soft surface (pad) did have any positive effects on the muscles.

This study aimed to compare the effect of 8 weeks of Spark and Frenkel exercises training on the static and dynamic balance in blind people. Methods: In this quasi-experimental study, 30 blind people with no other disabilities aged between 15 and 49 years old were randomly assigned to three groups of control (n=10), Spark (n=10) and Frenkel (n=10). At first, a pre-test of static balances and dynamic balance were performed for all three groups; Spark Group received Spark program exercises and Frenkel group received Frenkel exercises for two months, with no intervention for the control group. After two months, the required post-test exercise protocols were performed. Data were analyzed using SPSS 21. Paired t-test, ANOVA, and independent t-test were used to analyze the data. Results: The results indicated that both Frenkel and Spark training programs had a significant effect on static and dynamic balance of the blind, but Frenkel exercises had a greater influence on the dynamic balance. Conclusion: It seems that Frenkel and Spark training program are useful and effective methods to enhance static and dynamic balance in bilind people.
