Dağ Karanlık

Söz-Müzik: Kaan Boşnak

Ay karanlık yol karanlık
Dağ karanlık göl karanlık
Arayamam bulamam
Ben toprağın yancısıyım
Derin su yabancısıyım
Dalarım ama çıkamam

Varlık hiçin paydasıydı
Dün bugünün kaygısıydı
Bugün korkunç bir düş gördüm
Gül bülbülün aynısıydı

Bilmeden çok toprak geçtim
Kayadan köylermiş aştım
Bulamadım özümü ben
Dünya uçtu ben yerleştim
Okul sordu ben uğraştım
Bulamadım çözümü ben

Varlık hiçin paydasıydı
Dün bugünün kaygısıydı
Bugün korkunç bir düş gördüm
Gül bülbülün aynısıydı

Eclipse Mosaic Simulation

The Eclipse Mosaic is a simulator framework that can be used for various modelling,

Eclipse Mosaic Github Page – https://github.com/eclipse/mosaic

As I am searching for a tool for my academic study, I looked for several simulation tools to do modelling for Vehicular Communication. I was looking for Veins Simulator which based on Sumo and Omnet++. But I found it difficult than look for VSimRTI. VSimRTI is java based and I was thinking the most optimum tool for me. I even got a license for my education study but not able to work on very well honestly. Than later some time I found out the Eclipse Mosaic Framework and I got excited. Because it is open community anymore. Which is good for me for academic study and also the main advantage is the framework is part of Eclipse foundation anymore. I believe this will make Mosaic Application more bigger and useful. The main advantage for me are those two items;

  1. Eclipse IDE
  2. Java runtime

I think I can succeed with these two powerful tools on my academic study. I am excited to work on about Vehicular Communication and traffic modelling.

Currently I am downloading the simulator and needed SUMO application. I think I can prepare a development environment on my Windows 10 laptop which is an advantage for me. Actually I was thinking to prepare a Linux Ubuntu machine if needed. Indeed I already dedicated a 500GB HDD for an Ubuntu machine. I am just not confident to use a virtual machine.

As I get some progress about the simulation framework, I plan to have more post about this. Currently busy for downloading and installating. 🙂

Here is the link for Eclipse Mosaic;

And the tutorial to follow;

The documentation looks clear and nice, willing to learn new things 🙂

Yerli Otomobil TOGG

Flutter UI Toolkit

Flutter is UI Toolkit to develop application both iOS and Android. According to introduction from the website flutter.dev here is the complete statement, “Flutter is Google’s UI toolkit for building beautiful, natively compiled applications for mobileweb, and desktop from a single codebase.”

I also watched the video here on this link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I9ceqw5Ny-4 that gives details about great features of Flutter. Flutter makes me excited because I am developing an Android app nowadays for an enterprise level with kind of POS application and I was thinking what If I will be needing an iOS app doing the same jobs. Of course it will be required another environment setup, different language etc. In my case the Android app is for a specific IPDA device with its own built-in printing and scanning devices therefore definitely I won’t be needing an iOS version of it. Actually I found the Flutter with I was looking for a more elegant way of UI designing. Honestly when I am developing mobile app for IPDA, my challenge is to design UI activities of the application for smooth functionality. I believe it is very important also for the user the visual design of the application. So I believe Flutter will help me to accomplish the visually make beautiful my app.

Unfair World

Co-authored by Merve Kirikkanat

I am Muslim. I am proud of that to say…
We unfortunately live in an unfair world. Any kind of injustice, discrimination or authorization… such as social injustice, class injustice, a lack of equal opportunities in education, business and social mobility …
No religion endorses or promotes evil deeds. I can hardly say Muslims are the only victims of injustice in the world. In certain regions, Buddhists, Hindus, and even Christians and disciples of other faiths are victimized to the same extent as Muslims in certain regions, are they not? So why are Muslims and Islam — and not other religions or cultures, with some exceptions — associated with terrorism and violence?
The Western media are prejudiced. They are utterly unfair and not objective. They are biased, Islamophobic. I have no objection to this description, and our media, too, deserve the same description
But I must note that as long as the Muslim world does not define ISIL, Boko Haram and others like them as terrorists, it has no right to complain about Islam’s image in the Western media. On the other hand, we have the unfortunate experience of seeing Muslims.
It shouldn’t be difficult for Muslims to condemn terrorist acts and
murders and keep our distance from such murders. Muslims, not
Western non-Muslims, are obliged to safeguard and promote Islam and its image
As a result, as a Muslim I would like to say,
“If your window facing the world is dirty, you will see my flowers as mud…”

Shall We Drink Turkish Coffee?

Co-authored by Merve Kirikkanat

I will not tell you about this coffee which is prepared by how …What is the
recipe? What is the history of Turkish coffee?
I will talk about its unique thing for Turks. Drinking coffee is a unique pleasure for Turks.
I remember when I was a child I had learnt that how to make, and why it is not effortless. Because this coffee is not just coffee. It has many meanings for Turkish Culture
For instance, “A cup of Turkish coffee will be remembered for 40 years.” It
means if we have a cup of Turkish coffee together once in our life, we build
friendship for 40 years. Can you imagine that we have countless Turkish
coffee, we build for forever…
If you have suitor in your home, you offer Turkish coffee for him and his
family. For example if you like him, you put salt in his cup for testing him, if he
really likes you, he endures this bizarre taste..
“Sleep cannot be without blanket, Turkish coffee without foam”
Turkish coffee is like poem.
We are always serving with water. It is usually served with a glass of cold water
to cleanse the palate to make way for the delightful taste. In old days, it had
not been to ask to visitor that you are hungry or not. That is why They had
offered Turkish coffee with water to visitor for testing. If visitor get water before
coffee, it means I am hungry and than meal was prepared by hosts.
Turkish coffee is drunk slowly; the drinker sips so as not to disturb the settling grounds in the bottom of the cup.
Turkish coffee is a drink for real coffee lovers itself. It is drunk almost
exclusively by adults and is never drunk at breakfast or with regular meals, but
after a good meal. It is something to be shared with close friends who have
time to sit, relax, and enjoy life’s finer offerings. Turks have, therefore, made
the brewing and drinking of coffee a fine art.
Shortly, “Heart wants neither coffee nor coffeehouse, it wants friendship; coffee is excuse.”
